you know you’ve found the right person to create with when you can just walk up to them and say, “bro ye krte hain” and they simply reply “done karte hain” that’s pretty much how it’s been working with paarug. at the start of this year, i posted a video saying i wanted to work with people, and got a lot of responses somehow paarug and i connected, started working together, and it’s been great since. one thing i love about working with him is the freedom he gives me i’ve never had this much room to experiment and make whatever i want. and honestly, that’s what makes it so much fun thanks paarug, lets make more bangers

Working with AI requires perpetually operating at the edge of sanity. You have to recalibrate your mental model of AI capabilities and your own job description every few months, without getting delusional about seemingly infinite productivity gains, or feeling threatened by losing what you thought was the uniquely human part of your job, or obsessing over the perfect setup, or losing your mind over the clumsiness and jaggedness of agents, or ... Maybe AI literacy needs to be less about prompting and more about improving emotional regulation.

Everybody is starting a company Everybody is raising money Everybody is “ambitious” Who is actually willing to do the work? Who is willing to be a loser for 5 years before it’s clear what you’re working on is significant?

In a weird way, everybody is rooting for you. When you go to a job interview, the interviewer wants you to be amazing so they don’t have to look anymore. when you go on a date, the person wants to have an amazing date with you. If you make a piece of content, people want to see amazing pieces of content and they have no problem if it’s yours. the instant you get into the mindset that people want you to do well, your entire world gets better. And you’ll be shocked to know this pattern keeps repeating in different areas of life.
Hit me with the harshest reality truth.

One interesting data point from @rootlyhq is how devs are getting paged ~2x as much outside working hours vs a year ago. The reason? Most likely ~2x PR frequency, thanks to a lot more PRs and code pushed that are AI-generated / written
Replying to @GergelyOrosz
@GergelyOrosz wrote about "AI SRE"s, a problem-space i have been working in for the past 1 year. In usual pragmatic eng style, it is well written with a lot of depth. - This is a use-case of AI helping Engineers instead of just replacing them 😉 substack.com/inbox/post/2223…

built a voice game where you play the cop. 3 AI suspects and a sub inspector in one live room, they hear each other and you can cut anyone off mid sentence. pipecat + sarvam, a turn arbiter decides who talks next

None of this confirms it yet. If the star dims on time in November, this gets a lot more serious. If it doesn't, I'll post that too. The star is TIC 4206066. Fly around it in 3D: tic4206066.pages.dev Write-up: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22967… Data and code: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22999…

feels bad to use ai for applying. so have a classifier at the top of the search funnel: - so all startups/good companies i wanna work at is in a list where i personally message them - vs the rest job portals where i auto apply 80/90%
