‘97 is like those “x-men for dummies” books that include outdated characterizations and surface-level descriptions of long arcs

So Magik dies not in a heroic sacrifice, but because the writers were too lazy to think of anything other than a TELEPORTER of all people just standing there and taking it for no reason. Zero effort was put into killing her off so she could be reduced to a plot device for Piotr.

I understand this will probably lead to Darkchylde but this is genuinely one of the dumbest deaths on the show. Your mutant gift is teleporting stepping discs … you’re not a tree, you can move! Magik stans, I’m so sorry! #XMen97

the episode starting with illyana getting fridged and x-men hurting other mutants to save graydon creed….. absolutely horrific writing that i’ve never seen in this show before. the only saving grace of the episode is bishop and polaris #xmen97

No audition or anything, Ryan Coogler just had a one-on-one meeting with David Jonsson at a hotel and felt in his soul that he was the next Black Panther.
