Congratulations, Brazil! 🇧🇷 Millions of Brazilians have made their voices heard, reminding the world of the extraordinary power of democracy. Democracy is not something we can ever take for granted. It is something we must defend, protect and renew, generation after generation. At a time when fear and division are gaining ground across the world, Brazil reminds us that hope can overcome fear, that solidarity can overcome division, and that a better future is always worth fighting for. Congratulations to President @LulaOficial and our sister party, @ptbrasil, on this remarkable victory! As PES President Stefan Löfven said: “The future is never written by those who spread fear, but by the people who refuse to give up on hope.”

Just like 🇬🇧Reform slipping behind in the polls, 🇩🇪AfD is now also "falling to its lowest level in months"👇 Looks like far right parties with dodgy finances are losing their appeal (with Trump's totally corrupt 🇺🇸 administration also serving as a wake-up call)

Incredible. It may be that Donald Trump ends up saving global democracy simply by being the biggest asshole the planet has ever seen. He lost Serbia and Brazil in one day, with the midterms coming like a freight train… His paranoia is going to be off the chain.

🚨 BREAKING: Lula is projected to WIN reelection as president of Brazil, defeating Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro and an ally of Donald Trump. The projection comes just ONE DAY after Reuters exposed a Trump administration effort to help return the Bolsonaro family to power. A major political upset in Brazil.

JUST IN: Serbia’s longtime leader Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in Sunday’s parliamentary election, losing to a student-led opposition movement after two years of protests against his government. The stunning result ends 14 years of dominance by Vucic and his right-wing party. Backed by Vladimir Putin, Vucic had accused the student movement of being a foreign-backed attempt to oust him. The opposition is projected to win 135–140 of Parliament’s 250 seats, compared with about 105 for Vucic’s party.

The now-reviled AI lobby has adopted the spending vehicle laundering strategy that AIPAC perfected.
🚨EXCLUSIVE: AIPAC is funneling cash into elections through a secret network of groups that are branded to popular liberal causes - and that have nothing to do with Israel. For the first time, @LeverNews exposes the entire secret scheme 👇

This is insane. We cannot allow AI agents to go into your bank account and act independently without your authorization. But that is what’s happening right now. Left unchecked, AI could endanger the entire global financial system — including your bank account. Pause AI NOW!

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Per Axios, detected AI agents access bank accounts with the customer’s permission. This violates most banks’ terms requiring human logins, which is why banks call it “unauthorized.” Source: Axios (Oct. 22, 2026) — axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-…

A lot of philosophy-infused AI discourse is ridiculous because it boils down to this: "Look at this dumb layperson who believes [contentious view held by some philosophers of mind]. As an expert, I can tell you [contentious view held by some philosophers of mind]."
