Pitchers: don’t worry about your fall ERA. Throw strikes. Get ahead. Work on the pitch you need to develop. Learn how to pitch out of trouble. Learn how to compete on the days you don’t have your best stuff. Fall ball isn’t about putting up numbers. It’s about becoming a better pitcher by the time spring gets here.

Don’t say, “I want to play college baseball,” and then look for ways out of the opportunities that will make you better. Champions find a way. Period. Nobody feels like doing what it takes every single day. Winners understand it’s not about how you feel — it’s about what needs to get done. So they show up, put in the work, and do it well.

HS Baseball Players ⚾️ I’ve been around this game a long time, and something’s changed... We’re losing respect for the game. • Chirping after every pitch. • Celebrating routine plays like it’s Game 7 • Trying to embarrass opponents instead of beating them. That’s not toughness. That’s insecurity. 💯 Somewhere along the way, being loud became more important than being good. And the worst part? It’s being allowed. When I came up… • You showed up early. • You handled your business. • You played hard. • You shut your mouth. • If you had something to say… you said it with performance. • And if lines were ever crossed, the players took care of it. The truth: 👇 • Baseball is hard. • You’re going to fail. • You’re going to struggle. • The game doesn’t need more noise… • It needs more respect. • Nobody remembers who chirped. • They remember who showed up. • Who competed. • Who handled adversity. • Who left the game better than they found it. Want to separate yourself? Stop talking. Start working. Respect the game. 💯⚾️

Outcomes will always fluctuate. Your process doesn’t have to. Some days it clicks, some days it doesn’t. If your process changes every time the result does, you’ll never have anything steady to go back to.

Most players aren’t stuck because of strength… they’re leaking power. Top frame = elite sequencing → full stride → hips lead, shoulders stay closed → energy builds before release Bottom frame = what kills velocity → early rotation → short stride → energy leaks forward instead of transferring That difference is why one arm throws hard… and the other hits a ceiling. Velocity isn’t random. It’s engineered. If your mechanics don’t store and transfer energy correctly, you’ll always be fighting for mph. Fix the sequence → unlock the velocity. Train it the right way inside the 3X Pitching Program. How to Stop Flying Open. One of the biggest realizations I had was when I was watching Roki Sasaki. What I saw was that his glove side comes through in front and slightly inside his front leg. He’s not trying to pull it hard and make the upper half more rotational. He’s trying to stay as linear to the plate as possible. The glove side relaxes down, and now everything can go straight through the target. This is where a big problem comes in that I hear all the time. “I have a hard time staying closed,” or “I keep flying open.” A lot of the time, this comes from how you’re using your glove side. If you’re ripping it open, you’re going to fly open. But if you use it more like a block, you can stay closed longer and transfer that energy through the target.
