Cam Coleman, of 230 drafted WRs since 2018:
2.4 YAC/Rec (Last)
7.3 1D/RR (212th)
1.73 YPRR (202nd)
And he's currently a consensus top 5 WR in a "great" WR class. Huh?

Probably the best follow I’ve ever clicked on X. Dude has some of the best insights in all of sports!
Jaguars get to 1st and goal from the 1 and go wildcat, false start.
Mess ensues and they end up failing on 4th and 5.
Once again, no one has ever been stopped on 4 straight sneaks. No one has even been stopped on 3 straight.
You never lose yards even if you are short on 1st/2nd/3rd down.
Sneak until you score.
If anyone tries this and fails 4 straight sneaks from the 1 yard line I’ll donate 5,000 dollars to a team local charity.

Our high school boys lacrosse team did not ‘stretch’ a single time before practice during the 2026 spring season.
Our warmup was essentially games-based and changed daily. Various PE & tagging games, small sided games from many different sports, etc.
We took what amounts to a 15 hour chunk of time over the course of a season and replaced the traditional sterile warmup with dynamic, problem solving activities.
We suffered exactly zero soft tissue injuries all year.
Stretching before exercise does not prevent injuries. A 2014 meta-analysis of 26,610 participants in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that stretching had no effect on injury rates at all. Strength training cut injuries by a third.
The study was led by Jeppe Bo Lauersen at the University of Copenhagen. His team pooled every randomised trial that tested whether exercise-based programmes could prevent sports injuries, and compared the results by type: stretching, strength training, balance work, and combinations. Stretching reduced nothing. Strength training reduced injuries by 33 percent and cut overuse injuries, the ones that build up slowly over weeks, by nearly half.
The reason stretching fails is that it addresses the wrong problem. A muscle tear happens when a muscle is asked to produce more force than it can handle. Making a muscle longer does not make it stronger. Strength training does, and it also thickens tendons and stiffens the connective tissue around joints, all of which protect against the sudden loads that cause tears and sprains.
The finding goes against what every gym teacher, track coach, and physical therapist has said for fifty years. But the data is not close. Across every trial, every sport, and every injury type, stretching before exercise had zero detectable effect on whether the person got hurt.
This does not mean flexibility has no value. It means the five-minute hamstring stretch before a run is doing nothing for injury prevention, and replacing it with five minutes of bodyweight squats and lunges would be measurably better. The body does not need to be looser before it works. It needs to be ready to handle load, and that is a strength problem, not a flexibility problem. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2410…

I asked 3 different AI platforms to map out an ideal path to winning @CircaSports Survivor Contest and here was the consensus answer I received.
Week 1: Jaguars vs Browns
Week 2: Chargers vs Raiders
Week 3: 49ers vs Cardinals
Week 4: Vikings vs Dolphins
Week 5: Bengals vs Dolphins
Week 6: Patriots vs Jets
Week 7: Texans vs Giants
Week 8: Cowboys vs Cardinals
Week 9: Saints vs Browns
Week 10: Colts vs Dolphins
Week 11: Chiefs vs Cardinals
Week 12 (double): Lions vs Bears + Buccaneers vs Panthers
Week 13: Eagles vs Cardinals
Week 14: Ravens vs Buccaneers
Week 15: Packers vs Dolphins
Week 16 (double): Broncos vs Bills + Steelers vs Panthers
Week 17: Seahawks vs Panthers
Week 18: Bills vs Jets
My prompt:
- Optimize a NFL Survivor pathway for Circa Sports format of rules, be aware of double selection weeks and remaining flexible for those slates.
- Build the pathway based on projected ownership and gambling forecasted odds on each matchup.
- Be aware not to select a team during a Bye Week
- Mentioned 5 potential pitfalls of the strategy after you give the answer.
5 pitfalls
1. Holiday slates are thin and overlapping (6 teams play both); one early burn of Lions/Steelers/Seahawks/Texans kills options.
2. High early ownership on Jags/Chargers/49ers means an upset wipes a huge chunk of the field, but it could mean your equity is knocked out or if you survivor, so does the mass of entries.
3. Injuries or coaching changes wreck saved “future value” teams (Ravens, Eagles, Packers).
4. Late-season weather/rest/short weeks (Steelers, Broncos, Bills) add variance.
5. Week 18 flex + possible rest-the-starters if teams are locked; have a backup unused team ready.
*Note I do this as a fun exercise, I do not think this actually contains an edge and I will not be following this path with my own entry. I think my own Week 1 pick might be different.
If you are interested in a Survivor contest but aren't participating in the Circa or Splash $1000 per entry formats, there is a Splash Survivor linked in the first comment with a $50 entry, max of 2 entries per person that anyone who reads this can join. Winner take all. No double weeks.

For the state tournament, we increase intensity after December. We reduce instruction time and increase hard drilling. By the end of January we’re also increasing cardio and even our live wrestling switches to a lot of high intensity scenarios (you’re down one, 15 seconds to go, need an escape to get to overtime, as an example). Things that maximize intensity but shorten that long full period scenario where you end up with guys pacing and saving energy.
We also change our mental approach. Where as in December we encourage more risk taking and learning from mistakes, we obviously want to wrestle smart and efficient in February. If I’ve got a backpack rider in the finals of a tournament in December, I’m choosing bottom and challenging my guy to get out. I would rather lose the match than lose the opportunity to get better. But that same calculation wouldn’t happen in a big match in February.
Then after regions were start a hard taper. Practices get shorter. Drills are light. Live wrestling is minimal. Focus is on getting healthy and keeping weight in check. Also a lot of mental stuff.
I don’t know what a school like PSU does, but I would guess it’s even more intentional and individualized.
We do most of this without ever discussing it with the kids. They just come to practice and trust the process.
