We are inside the OODA loop. Outrage won’t fix this, and they know it. Congress can investigate Musk or Trump or Rubio or Hegseth all day long, but even getting that setup will take days or weeks. It will require staff frantically requesting documents and comms that won’t be provided. By the time any such hearing produces its very first soundbite, there will be a half dozen new outrages. Will those be investigated? There aren’t enough staffers in the world to run down all the egregious violations.
OODA loop: Observe, Orient, Decide, Act — the attention cycle employed by fighter pilots, described by Col. John Boyd. Fighter pilots have a tight, fast OODA loop that takes just a few seconds. Congress runs at about 5-7 days at absolute minimum.
The way the adversary (Putin, Musk, Trump) advances in this scenario is to act faster than the OODA loop, which isn’t all that hard. But acceleration shows an intent to escape circumstances and consequence.
To beat this kind of adversary you need to shut down their ability to act inside the OODA loop and also anticipate their next moves.
Washington isn’t cut out for this, especially going into the languid nothing-gets-done election and holiday season. So, if we want to interrupt this collapse, we need to select for moves that produce rapid outcomes, even if imperfect. That suggests court actions (TRO’s etc) vs slow Congressional inquiries. Or both in parallel. But don’t fantasize this is going to get fixed quickly without a lot of other simultaneous attacks. They are inside the OODA loop and they know it.

Another Russian ballistic missile attack came in several waves overnight, and once again, there was no early warning from our partners. In this one night alone, more than 10 energy infrastructure facilities were damaged, and the lights went out for at least 550,000 families. Repair crews are working at the sites.
Ukraine never wanted this war, and we have welcomed literally EVERY attempt by our partners to bring this war to a dignified end. We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Russia's response, time and again, has been ballistic missiles, “shaheds,” and killings. Putin not only doesn't want to end this war – he doesn't even want to take any steps toward de-escalation. EVERY ONE of our partners has experienced this firsthand when they heard Russia's refusals. And it is crucial to call things what they are. To call the aggressor an aggressor and help Ukraine defend lives. When deliveries of missiles for Ukraine's air defense are blocked while Russia is granted relief or delays in sanctions, this is, unfortunately, a denial of reality on the part of our partners. The reality is that the war continues, and it continues solely because of Russian strikes and Russia's desire to drag this war out. I thank everyone who recognizes this reality and helps Ukraine!

What European nations have yet to understand is that America's betrayal is turning Ukraine's longstanding love of the United States into bitter resentment. Combined with Europe's continued inaction, this makes Putin's objective of forcibly conscripting millions of Ukrainians who cannot escape Russian occupation, and using them in future invasions of EU nations, far easier to achieve.
Europe should be doing everything right now to ensure that this doesn't happen by stepping into the void left by the Russian occupied White House.
Release frozen Russian assets to Ukraine ASAP, ensure Ukraine continues chasing the Russians out, integrate Ukraine into the EU, or face likely full-scale war with Russia within the next several years.

Putin’s proposal for a Xi/Putin/Trump Yalta style carve-up reveals a logical hole: that the US position on this will remain static indefinitely. In the best case, the US might go along with this for two years.
Ergo, they think they can achieve and maintain strategic control of the United States indefinitely. Or, it suggests that they think the United States will be ended and replaced with some sort of new entity.

When The Gates Of Tech Dystopia Snap Shut
There’s a viral video clip showing a group of wild boars getting caught in a corral trap. When the gate snaps shut the poor animals run around in a panic, searching in vain for an exit.
According to the caption that’s been going around, the trapper waited patiently for five days for the entire sounder to get comfortable enough to take the bait and enter the trap all at once. The gate didn’t close until the final pig walked into the enclosure.
And, yeah. That’s pretty much where we’re at right now.
We’ve been standing around munching on our bait, enjoying our bread and our circuses, blissfully unaware of the trapper who is patiently waiting for the perfect moment to slam the gate shut on us all.

They’ve been quietly constructing a cage around us this entire time in order to lock us into this capitalist dystopia forever. The oligarchs and empire managers have been rapidly developing technologies that will facilitate mass surveillance and autonomous weapons systems — already being field-tested in places like Gaza — which just so happen to be exactly what the ruling class would require in order to undermine and quash any revolutionary movements which might emerge in response to the ever-increasing abuses and inequalities of capitalism.
The trapper is patiently pacing us into accepting mass surveillance, unfettered artificial intelligence advancement, militarized robots, police drones, digital currencies, propaganda, censorship, and the AI-assisted manipulation of the flow of information.
And then, when the time is right, the gate will come crashing down.
It’s essentially a race between revolution and high-tech totalitarianism. A race between the awakening of public consciousness to the urgent need for revolutionary change, and the ability of our rulers to prevent revolutionary change from ever occurring. A race between our ability to start using the power of our numbers to force an end to the abusive systems under which we live, and the ability of rich and powerful dominators to use surveillance, robotics and AI-assisted control mechanisms to nullify all the advantages we hold over them.
And right now our biggest disadvantage is that most of us don’t even know we’re in this race. Our rulers know it, but the average member of the public does not. Most of us are still chewing on the bait in the trap.
There is still time. The trap isn’t shut yet. But we need to awaken the other piggies in the pen to the reality of what the bastards have planned for us, and help them understand that the race is underway.
