🥁 🥁 TODAY we launched a new policy platform: Housing Policy That Solves Climate Change.
It has 16 concrete solutions that reduce costs and climate pollution at the same time.
Today, we released a report outlining 16 actionable, pro-climate housing policies. As the housing crisis grows, it’s critical to address it in a way that reduces pollution and lowers bills. climatecabineteducation.org/…
The impact of good policies can be substantial. A 2023 report from the Terner Center estimated that building more housing in walkable and rollable communities could reduce pollution by a magnitude equivalent to ⅔ of the US adopting CA’s zero-emission vehicle targets.
🎉 We’re excited to launch our new tool: Climate Vote Explorer.
A public, searchable climate legislation database covering bills in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas
climatecabineteducation.org/…
This searchable view helps answer questions like which climate bills matter, which votes count, and which lawmakers are standing up for affordable, clean energy.
You can browse bills by state and session and quickly see which votes matter most.
