A group of 18 year old boys dressed as finance bros just came up to carson and I and asked if we had any moves because they were “bevved up no females”

The frosting lover
every cat upon instantiation will spawn with one random non-meat food item it is obsessed with. There is no way to tell what this is until the day the cat will steal something off your plate like its life depended upon it

Btw that is the only human food she will eat. No meat, no fish, just frosting. If you try to give her a piece of tuna sashimi she will look at you like you’re crazy but cream cheese frosting? She’s sat

I’m baffled by all the discourse around this. So many grown adults who don’t understand the concept of a courtesy invite
My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so it’s not like we’re close if something happens. I haven’t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long. Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys

If you politely decline the invite and your friend gets mad about it then you can complain. But an invitation is just a way to make you feel included. Most people choosing to do something like a birthday trip (or destination wedding) expect that some people wont able to come

In fact, a lot of people choose to do a destination birthday/wedding precisely because they want less people to come. Like ultimately they might even be hoping you turn down the invite! An invite is not presumptuous!

Counter-take: The logic of international solidarity - that what happens in Brazil (from Amazon protection to viral pandemics) matters for what happens in the United States - has never in history been more plainly important.
Earnest take: I think it’s probably not healthy for the practice of democratic self-government that so many people have developed strong rooting interests in elections in countries they don’t live in.
