"These statistics aren't just numbers, they represent very real people...families...and communities overburdened by industrial pollution."
Thanks @RepSummerLee for reminding us when we discuss the impacts of dangerous pollution, we're talking about real lives.

In Braddock, cancer rates are more than 2x the rest of the county—and 90% of residents are at risk of exposure to particulate matter. This is directly caused by environmental racism.
I asked @EPAMichaelRegan about what the EPA was doing to fight back. Watch his response:
New @EPA power plant standards will slash dangerous climate pollution, mercury and air toxics, coal ash, and toxic wastewater – safeguarding our climate 🌎, protecting our health 🩺 & cleaning up our air 💨and water 🌊 #SolutionsForPollution
Urgent Call to Action‼️ Join us in signing this petition to President Biden and EPA Administrator Regan. Let's ensure cleaner air, combat climate change, and protect our health! #ClimateActionNow

Tailpipe emissions from cars, SUVs, and heavy trucks are the leading cause of climate change in the U.S.
Each year, this pollution also cuts short tens of thousands of lives.
