A strange part of growing older is realizing that you can understand someone's reasons without agreeing with their decisions. Understanding isn't approval. Empathy isn't permission. And forgiveness doesn't always mean restoring the same access. You can understand someone and still choose differently.

AN UNPOPULAR OPINION THAT MAY OFFEND PEOPLE: What if being a good human being matters more than belonging to the “right” religion? Imagine someone who never attends a place of worship but feeds the poor, helps strangers, refuses to cheat people, and treats everyone with respect. Now imagine someone who prays every day, quotes holy books, and never misses religious gatherings but cheats workers, humiliates the poor, and exploits people. If both die today, who has lived the more righteous life? And why do we sometimes judge people's relationship with God by their religious appearance rather than how they treat human beings? Let's debate this honestly.

Some people don't deserve your forgiveness, no matter how many times they apologise. Someone can destroy your reputation, betray your trust, ruin your finances, and leave you struggling to rebuild your life. Then, when guilt catches up with them, they say, “Please forgive me. We are all human.” Suddenly, if you refuse, YOU become the bitter, wicked person. Why must the victim carry the burden of proving they have a good heart while the person who caused the damage gets to walk away peacefully? What if refusing to forgive someone is not hatred, but the only boundary that protects your peace? Must we forgive everybody, or has society turned forgiveness into an obligation for victims? Let's hear it.

SML-171: Short Selling Basics (Profiting When Stocks Fall) Short selling means selling first and buying later. You aim to profit when a price falls. How it works: 1. You sell shares you do not own. 2. The price falls. 3. You buy the shares back at the lower price. 4. Your profit is the difference between the selling price and the buying price. Example (illustration only): You short 100 shares at ₹500. Price falls to ₹450. You buy back and earn ₹5,000. Price rises to ₹550. You buy back and lose ₹5,000. Price rises to ₹800. You lose ₹30,000. Charges and taxes are extra. How it works in India: Intraday short selling: You can sell first and buy back on the same day (SML-156). If you do not square off yourself, your broker will usually do it automatically near market close. Delivery short selling (holding the short overnight) is not allowed for normal investors. Naked short selling, selling shares you have not borrowed, is not allowed in India. Securities lending and borrowing (SLB): Shares can be borrowed legally. This is mostly used by large investors. Futures: You can sell futures to take a bearish view. This needs margin and carries F&O risk. The biggest risk: losses are not limited When you buy a stock, the most you can lose is the money you invested. When you short, the price can keep rising, so your loss has no fixed limit. Other risks: Short squeeze: A sudden rise forces short sellers to buy back, which pushes the price up even more. Upper circuit: If a stock is locked in the upper circuit, you may not be able to buy back and exit (SML-165). Margin calls: A rising price can reduce your margin and trigger forced exit (SML-164). Timing: A stock can be overpriced for a long time and still not fall. Costs: Brokerage, STT and other charges apply (SML-168, SML-169). How to reduce the risk: Always use a stop-loss (SML-159). Keep your position small. Avoid shorting stocks with low liquidity or frequent circuits. Do not short if you cannot afford a big loss. Key takeaway: Short selling can profit from falling prices, but the loss is not limited. Most beginners should understand it, not use it.

Same product. Different ending. 💔 One side builds an empire. The other loses everything. Which side would you rather be on? 👇 is this good one. Deep thinking
