Match Analysis: Chorley Wanderers Vets vs. Ribchester Vets ⚽️🏟️ Tonight was definitely a night with a difference! Headed down to Westway in Chorley to film some U35 Vets action—there’s just something special about Friday night football under the floodlights. 💡⚽️ It was great catching up with Danny Shaw from Chorley Wanderers, too. Always good to see him after leaving Astley & Buckshaw Utd over the summer! 👋 Going into the game, I knew nothing about either side, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Ribchester came flying out of the blocks, though, carving through the defence with a couple of neat through-balls to go 2-0 up inside the first five minutes! 🚀 Wanderers tried to rally and managed a couple of shots on target, but Ribchester hit them on the break again to make it 3-0. Wanderers did grab one back just before the whistle. Half-Time: Chorley Wanderers Vets 1–3 Ribchester Vets ⏸️ With the wind whistling across the 4G pitch, Wanderers came out for the second half with renewed hope. 💨 That hope surged even more when they won a penalty, but the Ribchester keeper pulled off a big save to keep it at 3-1! 🧤❌ Wanderers kept pressing and created some decent chances, but that second goal just wouldn't drop for them. Ribchester eventually made it 1-4 to put the game to bed and wrap up all three points. ⚽️🏁 It’s funny to think how different things might have been if that penalty had gone in—it really could have turned the match on its head! Either way, it was a proper enjoyable watch, and hopefully the viewers at home enjoy the footage too. 📹👍 Here’s hoping for a few more Friday night lights games in the near future! 🙌⚽️ #GrassrootsFootball #VetsFootball #NonLeague #Chorley #Ribchester #VetsFootball #GrassrootsFootball #YouTubeLive @GMNonLeague @NonLeagueRover @NonLeagueCrowd @nonleagueshow @westlancsleague @ArcHomesUK @lancssundayleag @westlancsleague
