I appreciate all officials do as well. OT brings out some confusion though. In our 2017 State Finals game they made us start our OT from the 40 because they inappropriately carried a penalty over from the first round to the second round.

I rarely ever comment on officials since I recognize it is a very difficult job, especially in the current landscape of high school and youth sports, but what the heck is this? Have none of the officials, coaches, AD, etc. seen an OT game in high school or college in the last 15 years? Did everyone just want to see the end of the Brewers game that badly? It's been 15(!) years since the NFHS adapted the 25 yard line as the starting position in OT. Yet it goes to the 10 yard line in OT here, and somehow a 3 minute game clock???? #wisfb

Horicon football is looking for a Week 1 non-conference game for the next two years. We would host for ‘27 and then away for ‘28. Contact Andrew Selgrad if interested. #wisfb

Dan Hoffman, left, and Jim Celt have a combined 95 years of experience officiating between them. Over the past 35 years they have worked over 5,000 football, volleyball, softball and baseball games together. Friday night they worked their last football game at St. Croix Central

If you don’t value ur trainer like one of ur coaching staff members you have your priorities wrong!!!

Yes, we tape. Yes, we carry water bottles & a whole lot more! Athletic Trainers are healthcare providers highly skilled in the prevention, recognition, management, & rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Just because you see me carrying a water bottle doesn’t mean that’s all I do

If you are struggling to tackle, check your leverage. Great defenses understand leverage and angles.

North won two games on the field, to be clear, but the forfeit issue absolutely is a blind spot in this matrix. Two things WFCA/WIAA needs to address ASAP, IMO: -A minimum number of "games played on the field" requirement -Weight of forfeits coming from "ghost teams" #wisfb

I agree MPS schools that show up ready to play every week should have the same opportunities as any other school that shows up ready to play every week. I have a harder time with North *hosting* a playoff game despite only winning one game on the field.

Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock. But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, that’s roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams. Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds. And you don’t know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game. That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him? That might’ve been it.

We need to address their forfeit issue. The fact that some will qualify for the playoffs due to as many as 5 forfeit “wins” and only winning maybe 1 real game on the season is a problem.
