Spent today getting my head around some more JavaScript concepts let and const, TDZ, block scope, shadowing & closures.
Not gonna lie, some of these take a while to click but drawing things out & dry-running the code is making the whole picture much clearer.
Notes from today 👇
Lately, I’ve been going back to core JavaScript and trying to understand what actually happens behind the scenes when our code runs.
Started with Execution Context, Memory & Code components, and Hoisting.
And honestly, dry-running it makes things way clearer.
Then moved to understanding how functions actually work in JavaScript.
Variable Environment, Call Stack, Window object, this, undefined vs not defined...
A lot of things that I knew what they were, but never really understood how they work internally.
