YOU CANNOT VIBE CODE A FINTECH APP.

YOU CANNOT VIBE CODE A FINTECH APP.
Not when people's money is at stake and you don't understand what's happening behind the code.

Moving money for African coffee traders is hard.
Proving where the coffee came from, to a European buyer, is harder.
That gap is why I flew to Rome and Naples last week for the Lab Innova for Africa "Luca Attanasio" Study Tour, run by @ITAtradeagency.
Founders from Kenya, Tunisia and Morocco. A week of training, months of mentoring, then the tour.
What I'm taking home:
1. Don't reinvent the wheel.
2. Build with your users, not for them.
3. Make it physical. If people can't touch it, they can't picture it.
4. Africa is ahead in places. Some of our systems belong in the EU.
5. Compliance isn't a cost. It's the product.
Thank you @ITAtradeagency, @ITAformazione, Lorenzo Galanti, Zakia Seddiki Attanasio, Fabio Santoni, Aleardo Furlani and my cohort. Let's keep building.
African founders, the doors to Europe are open. Most never hear about them.
I'm here to change that. I'll share the programs, buyers and funding calls I find, as I find them.
Tell me what you're chasing. I'll point you to the right door.

quick correction: joseph mwangi is the co-founder of @Autopayke, the startup building simpler ways to move money across africa. 🧡
in just 4 weeks, the team moved KES 1 million.
we'll be talking about the journey behind that milestone, getting the first users, and what it really takes to build a startup from scratch.

you don't want to miss this one. 👀
Simple its on on line 3 fetch() isn’t awaited, so user is a Promise and user.json() throws. Use const res = await fetch(...), then return await res.json(). Also check res.ok, since fetch doesn’t reject on 404/500, so your catch won’t fire for those.
Note: I couldn't fund my wallet in time, so this demo shows the live plugin tests and PayBox validating a real x402 payment challenge. No funded payment was made.
Built Vendra : a PayBox plugin that lets AI agents buy services within your rules.
It compares providers, blocks over-budget buys before money moves, proposes a USDC x402 payment for approval, and verifies the result.

The Experience on its own was spectacular. Being part of the team was also one of the best things as i had to dig deeper on @RedotsClub and know what exactly happens there and i learnt alot from them and basically just looking forward to November. LFG
We came to play and celebrate 3 years of @RedotPay! 🏭🎂
The @RedotsClub Factory Simulator Experience brought the competition, creativity, and community together for a day of fun.

My friend makes $1.2 million a year as an Anthropic engineer.
I asked him how he learned prompting so well. He sent me a video that was never supposed to get out. Their core team's prompting playbook.
You won’t find anything better about prompting than this 30 minutes video.
I watched it last night. Halfway through, I realized I've been using Claude completely wrong for two years.
Watch it, then read the article below.
