Today we are launching @ObsessionDB, the realtime data warehouse for agents.
Your agents are hungry for data. Feeding them is getting expensive.
Your data warehouse wasn't built (or priced) for that.
We learned this the hard way. We scaled our last company to petabytes on ClickHouse and watched the infra bill go vertical.
So we built @ObsessionDB . The ClickHouse engine, rebuilt with compute and storage separated, so your infra scales with your agents instead of your bill.
100x faster and 20x cheaper than Snowflake and Databricks. Already live, processing trillions of rows a day.
Agents are just getting started...

Even today, given a structured JSON Event Model, an LLM can suggest scenarios, write gherkin style tests and passing implementations. Our low code framework abstracts away all infrastructure already. The real gap is in AI aided facilitation of collaborative modeling sessions.

Fresh install of Ubuntu Studio. Trying it out because it comes with a low latency kernel for audio production stuff.

Been looking forward to this post ever since you announced it. Right on point! We are seeing the very same conceptual problems regularly, especially when multi entity projections are involved. Discussing aggregate boundaries wastes time and feels so 2015. Onwards and upwards!

You're probably aware of this sst.dev/blog/moving-away-fro… is that one of the options you are considering?

This "wonderful" person claims that vaccinated people suddenly start emitting bluetooth signals. Enough said.

I was talking about you, not about this John guy, about whom I couldn't care less. You're the one spreading all the latest conspiracy bubble fads. You don't get to push away responsibility by saying you're just sharing "information". You choose to spread it, you want it to stick.

You have chosen to share misinformation daily. Nobody is making you do it. You yourself select the content you share. You're not a messenger, you spread false information and this is 100% your responsibility. People will judge you by that and rightfully so.

Explain this. Messenger for what?

You keep telling Graham to check sources you believe to be correct, yet you make no effort to check the information he provides or to acknowledge anything he says. You consider yourself a critical thinker, but you certainly don't come across as one. Quite the opposite.

Thanks for writing this book! I agree automated tests instill confidence, but mostly so we don't break other parts of the app we might not be aware of. Manually testing the current feature makes sense, manually testing the whole app whenever we ship something seems unfeasible.

Interested to hear about your experiences with AI and Event Modeling, either during the modeling phase or when going from a model to code

What are you trying to achieve with those rules? Have you considered and disregarded other, equally simple rule sets? Have you established your actual burn because 2000 kcal seems pretty low and arbitrary and it might be more than just a slight deficit for a reasonably active man
