if you desperately want to quit your 9-5
please do this first:
> pay off all non-mortgage debt to minimize monthly expenses
> save a cash reserve to cover cost of living (I saved 2yrs of expenses)
> have a fallback plan: "if X doesn't happen by Y date, get another job"
why are you stressed?
all you have to do is:
1. validate app ideas
2. build one with AI
3. market for months on reddit, tiktok
4. create content to build an audience
5. launch on ProductHunt etc.
6. realize no one wants your app
7. pivot to new ideas
8. repeat steps 1-7
Building for yourself feels productive… until launch day hits and no one shows up. Ask the market. Your gut is not enough.
Speaking from experience (and $63 in sad app sales).
how i waste a day:
- get lost in new app ideas
- tinker with code
- realize i haven't posted about it once
- start marketing, but it's already dinner
sometimes the actual work is just deciding where to aim
Thinking about running a TikTok page that just gives out free app ideas. No pressure to build unless one actually pops off.
Feels like a fun way to crowdsource what people actually want-plus I could throw in some GPT mockups so it looks real. Why not?
some days i just wanna ship an app and hope it blows up
other days it feels like you can’t win unless you’re running a personal media company
do i focus on making things, or on growing a following?
nobody tells you which matters more
getting over my fear of posting
uploaded this to YouTube
just gotta do more reps
is this better? I tried to improve the editing:
> added captions
> more screenshots/visuals
> trimmed ~1m from the original video
can't fix my hella monotone voiceover (unless I re-record) so I'll try to do better in the next one👍
testing a new format lol
tiktok seems to hate capitalism though so this might be shit
(definitely avoiding Elon pics for now😭)
Day 24 of posting to TikTok (using a slideshow generator I made)
> page reached 500 likes
> 15k total views
avg post been getting 700-800 views for the most part. no single video has done >1k yet
still trying to actively experiment with hooks, 1st pictures, etc. but trying to be consistent with educational listicle formats

Day 20 of posting to TikTok (using the slideshow generator I made)
Last couple vids had low views - so I'm using this as an opportunity to test different 1st pics again
Black bg's have been pretty consistent (maybe bc high contrast?)
But I still haven't had a slideshow cross 1k views
Could also be due to me not scrolling as much the past couple days. So many variables at play - just continuing to try different things
first time ever recording myself
(I hated it)
would *greatly* appreciate any feedback so I can improve!🙏
now the flow is:
> scrape viral tiktoks in niche
> analyze transcripts
> generate educational blog content + tweet ideas
> send everything in an email to be reviewed
then she can tweak content if needed, choose what tweets she wants to use etc.
building a workflow for my gf (photographer) that:
> scrapes viral tiktoks in her niche
> analyzes the transcripts
> turns into blog content & tweet ideas
next: send everything to her email for review? (everything already saves to a google sheet)
I still need to play with the prompting. the blog posts are fine, but the tweets could use some work
would probably be ideal to have some examples of her writing style. or even create a similar workflow to scrape popular tweets to help emulate those styles

no more excuses (unfortunately)
I give up
content is king
