This was one of the last monologues cable news's most-watched host ever gave. He asked viewers to imagine his channel pushing a mandatory product from a top advertiser, even as evidence mounted that it caused heart attacks, fertility problems and death. Days later, his network fired him. 🧵

21 year old college baseball player Davis Heller died on his sofa studying for a test, nine months after receiving a Covid shot. He had a medical exemption but @UofAlabama would not accept it. Davis was an accomplished athlete with an incredibly positive attitude who said he wanted to be the “best teammate in the country.” He struggled with the decision to get the COVID shot but succumbed so he could fulfill his dream to play collegiate baseball.

Covid directly impacted every single American, but MSM decided the Fauci hearings weren’t important. And politicians pretend voters have moved on. But we haven’t. Covid left a gigantic festering wound on this country - wounds of this magnitude don’t heal on their own.

Now you can read what injection-injured people (and surviving relations) wrote in their V-safe entries. This is intensely powerful material. People not just statistics. 400 pages. Thank you @React19org for putting this together and trusting @brownstoneinst with the release. Please read and share. @SenRonJohnson brownstone.org/articles/crie…

Utter insanity!!! I experienced it as well and was fired from my Physican position because I would not say, "The vaccine is safe and effective." How could I ever state that, when in all the package inserts for all the vaccines we adminitered for CoV19 (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZenecka and Johnson and Johnson) stated as KNOWN side-effects, "Myocarditis and Death!" ???? I was living in a total "Big-Brother" (George Orwell, "1984") reality

This video is an important piece of science that everyone needs to understand. It explains scientifically why MRNA technology is dangerous, even fatal, for people with existing genetic injuries.

Over the past five decades, universities have become places where minds are closed and brains die. Rather than robust citadels of dialogue, they have become quasi-religious lyceums of ideological conformity. rodcollins.substack.com/p/th…

We must regulate AI for safety, agree AI pioneers & firms. But now, two signers of a new letter calling for independent outside evaluators warn that regulation could lead to “state control” and “ideological domination” by left-wing evaluators.

For years, the government vilified, harassed, fired and censored doctors and patients for using ivermectin off-label for COVID. Now the CDC recommends COVID vaccination for healthy people off-label, including healthy babies as young as six months. Apparently “off-label” medicine is dangerous and public enemy #1 when your doctor chooses it. But when the CDC chooses it, is becomes public health policy. Perfectly safe and effective. You really can’t make this stuff up.

The Anthropic/OpenAI/Google scheme to have government regulate them follows a pattern. Every major new industry has done this: pharmaceuticals, meat, banking, finance, agriculture, software, social media, crypto. It's a conventional cartelization scheme and the dominant economic form of the last 150 years.

This AI industrial racket is out of control. It's identical to the 1902 Biologics Control Act. Top pharmaceutical makers sounded the alarm about poisons being distributed everywhere. They begged Washington to intervene to stop the disaster. Politicians complied and codified the industry with incumbents in control while declaring their products as safe and effective. Same old scam. brownstone.org/articles/how-…

After all this nonsense, I hope open models overtake both of them. The doomsaying is getting old, and with Anthropic specifically, I'm tired of their frontier models blocking meaningful work in the bio space. My wife has brain cancer. I can't use Fable 5 or Fable 5.1 to ask questions about her cancer data. The moment I try, I get rolled back to Opus 5, a far weaker model. I'm a husband turning over every stone I can find to keep my wife alive. I ask things like "how do we target this mutation in her tumor," and that's a bridge too far for @AnthropicAI and @claudeai. Instant Opus rollback. I cannot square "our models are so advanced they might kill everyone" with "Fable 5.1 won't answer your wife's cancer questions, enjoy Opus, because our models are so advanced they can't tell a bioweapon prompt from a husband asking about his wife's tumor." Pick one. For a company that talks about curing cancer in the next few years, it's an interesting way of going about

Dario has written that we need to “pace the frontier,” and Sam has agreed. People may be surprised by my response: go ahead. You guys are the frontier. By any reasonable metric — market share, revenue growth, model capability — the two of you have a duopoly on frontier intelligence. You’ve also claimed the lead is widening because of recursive self-improvement. I don’t see what you see in the lab. If the unreleased models are scary enough that you think you should slow down, I support your decision to be responsible. But stop pretending you need anyone else’s permission. Stop pretending antitrust law has to be suspended so you can form a cartel. Stop pretending you need a regulatory approval process that supersedes product liability. Stop pretending METR is independent when it is intertwined with Anthropic’s investors and staff. Stop pretending you need those same evaluators to police competitors who aren’t even at the frontier. Most of all, stop pretending the motivation to slow down is purely altruistic. You face massive product-liability exposure if your products enable a truly damaging cyberattack. The market already punishes models that behave in unpredictable or unauthorized ways. After the Hugging Face episode, it is simply good business for OpenAI and Anthropic to trade some raw power for reliability and predictability. Call it alignment if you want. It is also just giving customers what they want. Pacing the frontier would also create breathing room for a more intelligent conversation about regulation than Bernie Sanders’ “shut it all down.” China is very unlikely to join a global agreement, as you know, and that has to be taken into account as well. So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it. If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.

Some more observations about my students: It was extremely difficult to get a class discussion going, because they were often unwilling to make judgments of any kind. Partly, this was because they had an intense fear of offending anyone. In addition, most believed that everything is “relative” and that therefore it’s wrong to judge (completely blanking out the fact that this itself is a judgment).

More observations about my students: Many could not follow a simple chain of reasoning. Often it seemed like my class was the first occasion they had ever been challenged to think. It was common for them to visit me in my office hours and to ask me to tell them exactly what I wanted them to say on tests or in papers. When I said that I wanted to see evidence that they had done their own thinking, they would look panic stricken.

I spent 30 years in academia. Here are my observations about my students. Toward the end, I was teaching “Gen Z." These students combined ignorance with strident moral certainty. They seemed to have had no general education at all, and lacked the most basic knowledge of history, even recent history. They were immature and emotionally fragile. Many could not handle criticism, no matter how sugar coated. It took very little to reduce them to tears – or to send them into a fit of narcissistic rage. They were shockingly bereft of intellectual curiosity, and many gave the impression of having no internal life at all. I'll share more observations later.
