If Clayface were to happen in the MCU. It would come out during phase 5 after a Batman trilogy, be a tv show, and people would complain endlessly that no one asked for it and insist that they ran out of ideas.
Because it’s more focused on being “different” rather than what it should be doing. The basis of the DCU is more based around controlling the perception of it.
