KENYA'S WORK PERMITS: THE LAST 6 CATEGORIES 🇰🇪 Continuing our guide to Kenya's immigration permit categories, here are six more options and what each allows. 1. Class K: Ordinary Residents For foreign nationals aged 35 or older with an assured annual income of at least US$24,000 from qualifying sources outside employment or business activities in Kenya, or from a pension or annuity. Holders cannot undertake income-generating activities without the appropriate permit. 2. Class M: Refugees For recognised refugees in Kenya, and eligible spouses, who intend to take up employment or engage in a trade, business, occupation or profession. 3. Class N: Digital Nomads For foreign nationals working remotely from Kenya for foreign companies, operating foreign businesses or providing services to clients located outside Kenya. 4. Class P: International Organisation Staff For eligible staff of the United Nations, diplomatic missions, intergovernmental organisations and international non-governmental organisations accredited to neighbouring hardship countries, including staff based in those countries. 5. Class Q: Professionals in Religious or Charitable Organisations For members of prescribed professions working for religious or charitable organisations who are not engaged in preaching or conducting religious worship and rituals. 6. Class R: East African Community Nationals For eligible citizens of EAC member states who intend to reside, work, conduct business or trade, or practise a prescribed profession in Kenya.
