2 ways of knowing: 1 studies 2. Stories. Most studies lead to more data; stories are the seeds of social change. Cold data is mostly devoid of meaningful stories abt specific communities. In contrast, warm data (cf @NoraBateson) seeks to reveal local meaning. No data w/o stories.

Thank @Enable_Tweets for helping us recruit an outstanding co-producer of the ourplace.scot/sites/default/… . We worked together again on @ALLIANCEScot project. Co-producers with lived experience- there is no substitute!
On #EmployabilityDay2023, we are sharing some great examples of how #EnableWorks supports people to overcome a range of barriers to the workplace through #employability support; people like Thomas:
enable.org.uk/our-impact/tho…
#EmpDay23 #WorkingForBetterWork

ALT We teamed up with Public Health Scotland to support them to make their recruitment process more inclusive and accessible. Young people like Thomas felt encouraged to apply and were able to demonstrate their skills in an inclusive interview. Thomas was welcomed into the PHS team as a Modern Apprentice. PHS successfully reached a wider talent pool and increased diversity of their workforce!
How about to get a broadcast license a company had to ensure all programs aired were communication inclusive of the whole community of people who communicate in different ways?
