In 117,025 women followed for 14.5 years, ≥2 hours/week of resistance training was associated with 20% lower major cardiovascular-disease risk and 44% lower heart-attack risk. Observational, not causal. But strength training may matter for more than just muscle and bones.

At Fiji’s largest hospital, 59 babies were born with HIV in 2025 and 18 died before age one, despite free testing and treatment. Stigma, privacy, transport, childcare and financial dependence can still block access. Free care is not automatically usable care.

Two Mexican feminist collectives received at least 2,850 U.S. requests for abortion help in 2023. 82% came from states with complete bans. Networks built under Mexico’s former restrictions are now helping fill access gaps north of the border.

In a study of 5,392 Icelandic women aged 35–55, 54% of women with ADHD reported severe perimenopausal symptoms versus 30% without ADHD. The overlap does not establish causation. It does show why midlife concentration problems can require more than one explanation.

The rete ovarii was described more than a century ago, then increasingly treated as a functionless remnant. Now mouse research suggests it may be active. The point is not “new organ discovered”. It is that female anatomy is still not a finished research map.

Pakistan cut sales tax on menstrual products and contraceptives from 18% to zero from July 2026. One cost barrier removed. The next question is whether retail prices and real-world access change with it. Tax policy can shape reproductive-health access.

52.8% of 447 patients in a vulvovaginal-care study had considered stopping care because their concerns weren’t addressed. 41.6% had been told to relax more. 39.4% had been made to feel “crazy”. Clinician behaviour is part of care.

Researchers found that an oral bacterium associated with gum disease could reach breast tissue in experimental models and promote precancerous changes, tumour growth and drug resistance. Important context: this was mainly cell + mouse research, not proof of human cancer risk.
