Comstock Inc. and Sierra Springs Opportunity Fund (SSOF) announced that SSOF has engaged Newmark to advise on its properties in Silver Springs, Nevada.
Newmark will advise on development strategy for SSOF’s powered lands, which are part of a broader Silver Springs asset base that includes approximately 2,200 acres of owned or controlled land, a leased manufacturing facility, the Silver Springs Regional Airport, and significant water and sewer rights.
Newmark will also design and administer a competitive process to identify and evaluate prospective development and operating partners.
“We have consolidated the potential for one of the most significant powered land positions for energy infrastructure, data centers and advanced manufacturing in Northern Nevada,” said Corrado De Gasperis, Comstock’s CEO and President of SSOF.

As more and more of the nation’s installed base of solar panels approaches end of life, recycling volumes are expected to grow substantially, creating demand for clean, scalable, zero-waste processing capacity.
With Silver Springs operating continuously and additional storage capacity in Hanford, California, and Cambridge, Ohio, Comstock Metals is positioned to support the growing needs of our utility-scale solar generators. And all the while maintaining its zero-landfill and chain-of-custody standards.

Comstock Metals has started its first-of-a-kind, industry-scale solar recycling facility. The system has now successfully processed panels through every stage of production, completing the final major milestone in the testing and evaluation of each unit operation. Final integration will be completed mid-August, at which point the ramp-up process to the first production milestone will begin.
We're excited to share another major step forward as the robotic loading and initial conveyance system at Comstock Metals' industry-scale recycling facility is now integrated, tested, and operational, with performance already exceeding design capacity during initial testing.
As each stage of the production line comes online, we're getting closer to continuous operations and increasing the nation's capacity for responsible, zero-landfill solar panel recycling.
