UPDATE: Me and Emma officially got married! ❤️
The old FPL community made this special day happen. Will never forget it 🫶
PLEASE START LACEY NEXT GAME!!
Diallo doing absolutely nothing. Lacey comes on, two hugely incisive moments, one should have been a penalty on him, and the other a beautiful pass inside to Cunha for the winner.
Carrick, please.
More or less spot on. Amorim was trying to really change United from the ground up. Was always going to take time, and the fans and the board wouldn't give him it.
🚨 Ruud van Nistelrooy on the difference between Amorim and Carrick:
🗣️ Van Nistelrooy: “Amorim and Carrick were given two completely different jobs. And only one of them is being asked to do something difficult.
Amorim was brought in to implement a style of play. To reset habits. To build structure. To change the identity of the team. That takes time. It also costs points in the short term. And United fans hate that. They want results now and a process later. They always have.
Carrick, on the other hand, is here for six months with one clear objective: get United into the Champions League. Nothing more. Nothing less. No identity. No project. Just points.
Short-term coaching is about maximising what you have. Long-term coaching is about building something that lasts. That’s why Carrick can collect more points with the same players Amorim was trying to rebuild. Because he doesn’t care how it looks. He just cares that it works.
Amorim refused to take the easy route. Sitting deep. Playing safe. Chasing quick fixes. He stuck to the process even when it hurt him. And they sacked him for it. Or they let him leave. Same thing.
Some fans look at the table. Others look at the direction. United fans only look at the table. They always have. And then they wonder why nothing ever changes.
That’s the difference.
One manager was asked to change how the club thinks. The other was asked to get results before the end of the season. And right now, only one of those jobs is being judged by the points on the board. The other one is already forgotten.
People will say Carrick is getting more out of the same squad. Fine. But what is he actually getting? A few more points? A temporary climb up the table? And then what? The same players, the same habits, the same problems waiting for the next manager.
Amorim was trying to fix that. He was trying to make them uncomfortable. To make them press. To make them play out from the back. To make them understand that winning the ball high up the pitch matters more than sitting deep and hoping for a counter.
United fans called it naive. They called it stubborn. They said he was too wedded to his ideas. And when the results didn’t come fast enough, they turned on him.
Now they have a manager who will do whatever it takes to pick up points. And they’re happier. For now.
But the table doesn’t lie about the long term either. If you keep choosing the short-term fix, you keep ending up in the same place. Near the bottom. Looking for the next man to save you.
Carrick might get them into the Champions League. He might not. Either way, the problems Amorim was trying to solve will still be there when he leaves.
And United will be looking for another manager who can fix them. Again.
That’s the cycle. And until the club decides it wants more than short-term points, it will keep repeating.”

🚨I understand season ticket holders are scared of losing their seats if they stop attending. That's a genuine concern.
But fans can STILL walk out at half-time, stop buying merchandise and hit the Glazers and INEOS where it REALLY hurts — THEIR POCKETS.
We saw fans holding a “STANDARDS” banner against Bournemouth, but do you honestly think these owners lose a second of sleep over banners?!
Protests mean NOTHING without real action. As long as the money keeps rolling in, they have little reason to change.
I'm genuinely SICK of watching this club fall apart while the people responsible face ZERO consequences. We can't keep demanding change without doing something to FORCE it.
It's absolutely HEARTBREAKING what Manchester United have become. 💔

Manchester United had the best trio in the Premier League.
How did things get this bad? 😭
Genuinely really happy for him ♥️
An unbelievable professional and probably the best passer of the ball of any forward I've ever seen. And that's before any of the crazy goalscoring numbers.

🚨 The Old Trafford chants today towards the Glazers:
“You can stick your new stadium up your arse”
“Stand up, if you hate the Glazers”
“Sell United and fu*k off home”
He's such a little gimp. He's like the teachers pet at school.
Hahahahaha I knew this was gonna go viral. I saw it happen and I turned to my wife and said that is gonna be hilarious on social media later.
So good 🤣🤣
I miss this but I also miss playing against people who are trying to figure everything out for themselves.
Everyone has access to content creators and AI/models telling them what to do now.
Just makes the game infinitely less enjoyable. There's no independent thought anymore.

FC27 isn't a bad game, it's the players who bend over for the meta that make the game unejoyable and boring. Don't think I've played a single rivals game today that hasn't included Adayemi, Stanway, Kika, Lopez, Garcia and the other usual suspects #FC27

Terrible seat design in a terrible stadium…
And it’s not only the seats… the roof continually leaks too - hence all the empty seats on display today.
Built a brand new stadium that’s already obsolete and falling down within 2 decades 😂

What Emery has done With Aston Villa is remarkable after being asset stripped by the red cartel. No doubt it will happen again this summer because of current Premier League rules. Either way Emery is the best manager in the league no doubt.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City FC have taken more players from Aston Villa in the last 5 years than any of Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal.

Expecting a difficult couple of GWs. Injuries to Saka and DCL have messed up my plans.
Really didn't want the hit but didn't feel I had much of a choice.
73k OR to start, expecting a red unless JP smashes and Haaland blanks.
Good luck all!
Absolutely no idea why he's not given a chance. Bizarre
🚨🚨🗣️ Diego León’s agent Renato Bittar:
“If there isn’t a plan to break into the first team between December and January, we’ll look for a way OUT for him. A LOAN somewhere where he can compete, get playing time, and return to Manchester.
“The Championship is an OPTION, as are other European leagues, but we don’t want to leave here. He’s performing well with the U21 team, he’s training well, and his physical condition is excellent.”
