It takes everyone a different amount of time to realize you’re not the exception. You’re the rule. And when you follow it, you become the exception.
Do so much volume it would be unreasonable for you to fail.

This is gonna be boring advice that you already know
But it is the m o s t important thing
Consistency is so so so so incredibly stupid important
I can look at my income and see a direct correlation between growth/decline and my consistency in the 1-3 months prior to that
All the fancy yt strategy and thumbnail theory will not help you if you're not consistent
Consistency is the number 1 most important thing in business, you have to actually do the work.

With literally endless information at their fingertips, people are in for a (rude) awakening - it was never about the lack of info. Your biggest blockers are/were almost never about not having the information.
The actual bottleneck is the mind + nervous system. As people start to realize this, it'll feel very disorienting - because it demands a total change, and doing the exact things you've been avoiding your entire life.
Not necessarily a bad time - it can be flourishing time if you resist it zero. Most will choose to distract themselves. Others will ascend. There's no rush.

Europe (EU) doesn't understand the magnitude of their problem
I'm a 23 year old entrepreneur and I know 7 other german 18-25 year old entrepreneurs. 5 of us, including me, have already moved to either Dubai, Cyprus or Switzerland. The 6th is preparing to move within the next 12 months, and the 7th is only staying because his business is physically tied to germany, but is exploring new ways to move his revenue to Switzerland.
EVERYONE is leaving. The next generation of entrepreneurs is leaving the country the moment they get enough cash. The taxes, paperwork, regulations, general attitude of the government and government offices... It just feels bad to be there
"Oh hey you made €100k this quarter and created a new job, meaning you create value, bring money into the country, and provide work for others? HOW DARE YOU, give us 42% of that for income tax + 1200€/month health insurance + 19% VAT + unlimited paperwork and regulations that will cost you about 20 hours of work per month, insane complexity of employment laws, and oh if you invest the money you pay another 26% capital gains tax and ridiculous property taxes and because we really fucking hate you, we will punish you with 5 years jail time for making any minor mistake."
I love germany but that's unacceptable. It feels like having a gf with 6/10 looks but attitude of a 11/10 with narcissism
They think we will never leave them
Too late
Next generation's business owners and builders have already left
Enjoy poverty and miserable weather
income tax 120 years ago in germany used to be 4% max and only 20% of the population had to pay it
What happened to my nation
I hope the next decades will bring prosperity back
But it will only happen if we let builders exist in peace, instead of chasing them out of the country

When training our new scriptwriters I keep seeing the same mistake
AVOID THIS PLEASE, it is holding you back
I believe this can make a 10x view difference
Try to spot every mistake in this sentence:
'Now the white player deviates from the standard line and startles his opponent by sacrificing the knight by taking on e5'
Obvious mistake: the words are too complicated. Why are you saying 'deviate' when 90% of english speakers don't know this word
Same thing goes for the whole structure and length of this sentence
Imagine the sentence was like this:
'White takes the pawn, which is crazy because the knight is not safe here'
Not only is this sentence a LOT simpler, the editing will also be better
On screen you'll see a knight taking a pawn, and then the voice says 'the knight isn't safe' and a red arrow will show the threat
Very smooth simple editing
The first sentence has a fundamentally more complicated structure
Here's the original sentence again, try to read it and imagine what the editing looks like
'Now the white player deviates from the standard line and startles his opponent by sacrificing the knight by taking on e5'
It's just not that clear. I can tell you from experience the editor will do something clunky and weird for this scene
There are multiple seconds of voice line that are just not flowing well, and you don't really intuitively know how to edit this
Saying 'deviates from the standard line and startles the opponent' before showing the move is just not good for the flow, I hope this makes sense. A lot of gut feeling goes into this.
The simple version:
Chess piece moves -> red arrow shows new threat
The bad version:
No chess move is happening yet -> the voice is yapping about how the next move is not the standard line -> and how the move is a sacrifice -> but nothing can be shown in the video because the move hasn't happened yet -> NOW the move happens
I see this shit instantly, it's subconscious pattern recognition you'll develop over time
Also, 'deviates from the standard line' is just useless confusing information
Every word has to fight for it's life. I delete a LOT. These words are definitely out the window
Also, very important, SHOW don't TELL
Instead of saying knight e5 just show the move (this applies to other niches too)
Any scriptwriter who doesn't grasp these concepts after a few attempts is literally fired, can't produce videos with them

The secret to getting unlimited views on YouTube is to deeply understand how curiosity loops work
You can never EVER end the loop
From the moment they see your thumbnail, you have to keep triggering curiosity
Let's say the thumbnail is a picture of a super car, that's about to crash, and the title is "The Most Expensive Car Crash Ever"
Now, if you show the crash and after that start talking like "This crash happened in 2018 and the driver's name is Waluigi Superstar. The police report blablabla" you will lose MANY viewers
Their curiosity "what happened? I want to see the crash!" has been satisfied and a lot of people will click off
I made this mistake in my first video ever, there was a 5 seconds window with no open curiosity and I lost 8% of my viewers in 5 seconds (160,000 people)
Instead you could start the video by saying "This $400,000 car crashed into a $5 million dollar car, and you won't believe what the driver did next"
Then you show the crash and then start explaining the story
When the crash ends, people are still curious about what happens next, because you said they won't believe the reaction (drama, reaction, conflict, rage, emotion, all very interesting)
Both videos can contain the same information about what happened next, but the first one doesn't continue the curiousity loop, and the other one does
At no point does the viewer think "Now all my questions are answered, I can click off"
And before actually showing the driver's reaction (or immediately after within a second) you open the next curiosity gap
NEVER allow them to not be curious
Always ask yourself "is the viewer waiting for something right now?" There has to be a very specific reason why the viewer HAS to keep watching, else they click off
There are a few retention strategies like payoffs in the end, 'puzzle story telling' and others, but they all fundamentally work because of this curiosity dynamic
Now that you understand the underlying principles, you can invent your own storytelling
Always force open questions and curiosity

Routine that took me from 0 to my first $20,000 month in ~8 months:
-wake up naturally
-get ready in 10-20 min
-90 min very focused work
-10 min coffee break
-90 min very focused work
-big meal
-gym
And tbh after that, the day was fucked
I spent the rest of the day "learning" by listening to podcasts and watching educational videos but that was probably cope
Should've worked double the time and spent only 1-3 hours per day learning new stuff
Some days I worked more hours, especially when I had deadlines for myself
By 'focused work' I mean I didn't even check my messages in the morning. I touched my phone the first time at like 12pm after 3 hours of work

To be honest it's not that deep
1. Be happy that it feels hard to work, because it filters out competition. 90% quit because this feeling controls them.
2. Everything has to be done faster all of the time. Get everything done immediately. You can probably do it 10x faster.
3. Work on something that's scalable, and always work on the highest leverage task available, without engineering backwards (don't try to automate something that's not even working yet)
4. Never ever give up. Don't accept failure. If you just don't accept it, you will succeed or die, but never fail.
5. Sleep enough.
6. Don't be distracted by entertainment, new business opportunities (shiny objects), or even secondary tasks in your current business. Always go all-in on the best thing.
7. Be bold and full of conviction. The universe punishes hesitant cowards.
How to take risks that most people would never dare to take, and come out on top
Dropping out of university and moving to Dubai wasn't bold enough, you won't believe what's next

One of my WORST videos
❌ Lowest sales
❌ Lowest revenue
❌ Lowest RPM by far
❌ Not long term (trend)
But
✅ Took one day to make (7 hours)
✅ $1.6k for one day is cool
✅ Channel growth (subs)
The three lessons:
1. Views aren't everything
2. Consider production effort
3. Use trends, easiest 1.5m of my life

Something that WORKS but I don't recommend at all:
With my first video I got
•10,000 Subs in 6 days and 21 hours
•Monetization in 5 days
•2M Views today
P.S. sorry for the german screenshot, back then I was living in germany
You wanna know the reason?
I was 22 and 3 weeks earlier I dropped out of law school, I didn't even have a YouTube channel at that point
Moved back in with my mom and told her I'm going to make chess videos
the pressure to make progress was ON 😂😂
Imagine how BADLY I wanted to grow FAST 😂
I really really REALLY needed to make it, no matter the cost, because my parents probably were a ticking time bomb to roundhouse kick me back to university
Now again, I don't recommend this at all. If 100 people do this, I think 90% or more are going to have a big problem
But I hated my life circumstances at the time. I didn't like law school, the idea of working a 9-5, even the city and apartment I was living in
So I decided to drastically risk everything, because there was NOTHING to lose
I literally asked myself "if I lose everything now, would I care?" and I didn't care
If you care about anything at all, don't take this risk
You can build a youtube channel on the side
Most people do it like that
But I knew I would rather lose everything than live that life for even one more month
P.S. I can't stop yapping about youtube strategy so if you follow now, you might pick up some of my strategies that help me get 1M views per video (that's my channel's average)
Const retweeted
I was about to explain why this video got me 1,000,000 views
but do I even need to explain?
The more interesting part:
I knew some of the people who click don't actually care about chess
So I said this in the intro:
"You'll see that his chess strategy is very similar to his war strategy"
and showed a picture with arrows on a chess board and a map of europe, that look similar
During the game analysis I kept comparing the game and the war
To hook those who click for the thumbnail and don't care about chess
Always think about WHO is watching your video and how you can make them curious

F*ck it, Strategy to get 1M views
This video took me 3 days to make
+3,800,000 Views
+Rent paid for one whole year
3 days of work got me results that some people can’t get in an entire year
Joonah what’s the strategy??
It’s so simple you’ll ask yourself why you haven’t been doing it already
I would say 99% of you already know this
Yet 99% of you never do this, which baffles me
Don't expect some shiny magic pill
This is boring, basic, normal, but will change your life completely if you do it right
I call it „outside ideas“
You go to other channels in your niche
Look at the top performing videos
If the same video idea performed well on multiple channels
You have a winner
BUT
Don’t copy the idea
If you see my video, it’s a completely unique guide for this chess opening
It’s not copied at all, it’s entirely my own creation
It’s heavily inspired by others, but NOT an exact copy
This is by far the easiest strategy to get 1M views or more but:
There are many other strategies that you should also be using to come up with content that is more owned by yourself
You can’t rely on other people’s outliers forever
I’ll share more strategies in the future
I just wanted to get this one out real quick because it’s so stupidly simple and underrated
Use it and get the easiest 1M views ever
You can literally get 1 year of results in 3 days
If you want more strategies hit the retweet, like, save to list, follow, all that. I'll post more of whatever performs well
