In our interview, I’ll try to get a really deep understanding of the idea and how it affected you, even if that means going down rabbit holes. In the post I’ll prioritise clarity, (relative) brevity, helping others understand.

this is a joke, but why are EAs like this? It feels like there's a lot of fear that ppl are going to be slammed if they ever make a mistake or accidentally sound more confident than they are - seems bad.

I actually have a draft of a Forum post about this - how there seems to be a 'different worlds' thing on the Forum, where lots of ppl see it as an adversarial hostile place where they have to be hyper careful...

...whereas ime, people are generally pretty polite, and most of the comments to my posts (which are not intensely edited/caveat-ed/checked by friends) seem reasonable and fair
