I wonder whether the traditional software tutorial is slowly disappearing.
Instead of watching a 20-minute video explaining how to use something, people increasingly expect to ask a question and get an immediate answer.
Monday: "I know exactly how this works."
Tuesday: "Interesting."
Wednesday: "That shouldn't be possible."
Thursday: "Who designed this?"
Friday: "Oh. It was me."
It's amazing how an application can work perfectly in development, pass every test and behave exactly as expected in staging.
Then production introduces a problem nobody has ever seen before.
Production has a personality of its own.
If AI eventually becomes better than humans at almost every intellectual task, what happens to the satisfaction people get from being good at something?
We talk about jobs and economics.
I'm curious about the psychological side.
During a gold rush, the people selling shovels often do very well.
In the AI gold rush, the shovels are chips, electricity, data centres, networking and cooling.
The interesting part?
Those shovels are becoming incredibly expensive.
Sometimes the winning software product isn't the one with the most features.
It's the one that makes the customer feel confident they won't have to think about the problem again.
I wonder how many companies are paying millions every year to maintain software they could replace.

But because nobody wants to take responsibility for the migration.
Me signing up for another AI tool because it promises to save me time.
Also me, spending the next three hours comparing it with the five AI tools I already pay for.
I’m a full-stack developer, but most of my experience is in backend and system design. UI and UX design is where I struggle. Giving any model a prompt gets you a quick design, but everything ends up looking so generic.
I’m learning, though.

Imagine launching a product and getting 10,000 visitors but zero paying customers.
Would you consider that a successful launch?
I think the answer depends on what you were actually trying to achieve.
I get this a lot lately. I use ChatGPT, Claude, Grok for various tasks.
And this happens frequently with ChatGPT
We're reaching a strange point in AI.
Generating an answer takes seconds.
Verifying that answer can take longer than finding it yourself.
The bottleneck isn't always intelligence anymore. It's trust.
Scammers used to send emails full of spelling mistakes and suspicious links.
Now they can generate professional emails, convincing voices and realistic video.
The old advice to "look for bad grammar" isn't nearly enough anymore.
A company can spend millions acquiring customers.
Then lose one because nobody answered a simple support question.
It's remarkable how often the final customer experience gets less attention than the first.
Giving an AI agent access to your entire business environment because it needs to perform one task is the digital equivalent of giving a contractor the keys to every room in your building.
Convenient?
Absolutely.
A good idea?
Probably not.
