If the government wants to really help people with high fuel costs then it could announce a temporary cut in fuel duty. Simple!

The government could help everyone by temporarily reducing the amount of duty paid on fuel. Share if you agree @costofliving @fuel

I wrote about the uncertainties surrounding assisted dying (and lethal injection) drugs that still exist to this day. Some research desperately needed that will test ethics committees to the limit. archive.is/SSk7k and spectator.com/article/the-un…

Reminder: Similar complications have occurred after attempted assisted suicides. The idea that assisted suicide/euthanasia guarantee a 'peaceful' death is a myth. According to one expert: "I am quite certain that assisted suicide is not painless or peaceful or dignified. In fact, in the majority of cases, it is a very painful death." Another botched lethal injection. Pentobarbital is the drug also used in Assisted Dying regimens: "..concerns raised by Ms Pike proved true: vein access, degraded pentobarbital, no emergency medical care available, under a protocol veiled in secrecy" bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq8r…

The drugs that are used in assisted dying do not guarantee a peaceful end.

I was saddened to hear of the death of Dame Esther Ranzen. But I think it's important to point out even if the Assisted Dying Bill had become law it would have taken years to implement and would not of been any benefit to her.

Absolutely horrific - in the US death row inmate Christa Pike survives TWO lethal injections and is now critically ill in hospital. They talk about assisted dying as being humane but the reality is very different.

Joe, the Portuguese do a egg custard tart called a Pastel de Nata. It's a speciality - I've not had one but they are supposed to be very good. I hope you both have a lovely time.

Those men who were arrested outside RAF Fairford have been released on bail - which suggests that whatever they were doing wasn't terror related. I wonder if they're the same men that Trump referred to?

Ranulph Fiennes deserves better than to fall through the cracks of a broken, underfunded system. So does every other Briton!

After Sir Ranulph Fiennes was located at KYN Hurlingham following months without contact to the outside world, the staff and management at KYN breached their organisation’s safeguarding policy by placing the explorer in complete isolation. (1/2)

This is getting a weirder and weirder story. Some .. true.. family plot against a man's wife. All hugely funded and organised. It stinks to high heaven.@thetimes @Telegraph
I devised & bankrolled the secret operation to infiltrate the London care home where Ranulph Fiennes was being kept under an alias, deprived of his favourite necessities: Chocolate (who deprives an 82yo Parkinson’s patient of chocolate?) (1/2) thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/a…

Sir Ranulph Fiennes was blackmailed by his wife, Louise Millington-Cotes, with an affair the two had before Ran's first wife, Ginny, died of cancer.  This is the key to understanding why LMC has had such power and control over Ran. (1/3)
