Shawnee State is proud to welcome our largest freshman class in nearly a decade. More students are choosing SSU for our people, our programs and the opportunities that come with being a Bear. We’re excited to see what the Class of 2030 will accomplish.

If you concern yourself with taking care of others, there’ll be no room for lies, bullying and cheating. If you’re truthful you can live transparently, which will enable you to establish trust, the basis for making friends. We all tend to be driven by self-interest; the trick is to pursue wise self-interest, which takes other beings into account.

A $50k website that takes 9 weeks looks expensive.
A $15k website that takes 14 weeks, misses two deadlines, launches broken and needs $30k in fixes does not.
Until it does.

With the refreshed algo, I figured I'd reintroduce myself.
My first job out of school paid $800 a month, running a screen-printing shop at a homeless youth drop-in center in Denver. I was teaching job skills to at-risk kids and prepping art for the press. That's where I fell for design.
No design degree or formal training. I bought a MacBook with a cracked screen off a friend for $400 and taught myself the rest.
I've been in the agency world for over a decade, and now I run NOOON, a brand and web studio for the built world. I've spent the last two years building it to run without me.
I've tried and failed to build businesses three separate times. This time I'm all in. Slow, steady growth and a calm space where my team can do their best work and still have room for the life they want outside of it.
I've also made the mistake of working 80-hour weeks for a year straight, chasing a profit through long days and late nights while my wife held down the house and our two young kids on her own. Looking back, I lost time with them I'll never get back.
I built this business for a reason. A wife, two kids, and a future I actually get to be present for.
I write here about building a $1M+ studio and the life it's meant to protect. Glad you're here.

26 years freelancing. I tried every tool out there — too simple, too bloated, or too expensive.
So I built my own.
