This is the first analysis of 🌎 outgoing IR declining at 13-15μm due to rising CO₂. Warming at 10-13μm is also evident.

Kirchhoff’s Law requires that highly absorptive gasses also have high emissivity.
I build a combination ink + glow stick experiment to demonstrate:

If you or anyone you know is deciding where to donate $1M to save the most lives possible, I strongly recommend @jamesheathers so he can uncover fraudulent medical studies that have cost tens of thousands of lives:

Well stated. Three years ago I tried to say the same thing when a project was announced to plant trees in the Sinai desert:
Link below. When I posted this, several climate-inclined accounts accused me of misleading and making fallacious arguments.

Deserts reflect 45% of incoming solar radiation, while vegetation reflects only 10-15%.
If Ties van der Hoeven of theweathermakers.nl succeeds in converting Egypt's Sinai Peninsula into a "lush Garden of Eden," won't it increase global warming?
10k mile update: 3,400 kWh total energy consumption (340 Wh/mi). This includes a Michigan winter w/heavy heater use.
Red-E’s 240 kW “Stellar” charger is just as fast as any Tesla L3 charger that I have used. Driving across the state is a breeze now. redecharge.com/rede-120240kw

Love this! True science includes honestly acknowledging limitations, uncertainties, and unknowns.
It's been a month but it doesn't look like Bjorn is going to provide a p-value, so I calculated it. I got p=0.21 assuming thin-tailed, so I conclude the trend in the data is not statistically different from zero (since p>0.05).
I don't presume the chart was followed 100% of the time. But, if even half the heaters were properly adjusted half of the time, 13,000 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 3,250 tons/yr CO₂ emissions were avoided. (10/11)
3-5% efficiency may not sound like a lot, but there were 10 fired heaters running at an average 20 MW each. 3-5% of 200 MW is 6-10 MW of extra heating. Reducing combustion by 8 MW saves 5 million kg of natural gas per year, or 13 kilotons of CO₂. (7/11)
