Down 20 early in the 2nd but it’s okay because New Orleans and France really strengthened our ties and I’m just so proud of that.
Well I feel so much better that we “strengthened the ties between NO and France”. I have no earthly idea what that even means.
Please just go win football games and shutup about everything else.
A letter from New Orleans Saints owner and CEO Gayle Benson

What the hell does “win the week” mean? Imagine finding a silver lining so bright you forget to look at the scoreboard.
Jeff Duncan: The Saints won the week in Paris, but the Steelers won the game in decisive fashion nola.com/sports/saints/saint…
I endorse this message. I’ll also add that I think Flores is the right call (as long as he can hire the right OC).
The local media has decided Paris was a great week for the Saints brand and a terrible week for the Saints team. The city gave up a home game to watch a bad team lose by 6 in France.
Being celebrated for owning a team is not the same as running one well. No one from Gayle on down is willing to make a hard decision.
Exhibit A: Loomis has been GM since 2002. Next year we have a ton of cap space and a likely top 6 draft pick.
After years in the wilderness, we now have resources. Does anyone trust him to use those properly?
Contrast that with Indy. Carlie Irsay-Gordon backed Chris Ballard in January. Six games in, she fired him and said it couldn't wait until the offseason. That's a real owner doing real work improving the team. Instead, Gayle is being praised for throwing an ostentatious party in France for VIPs.
What this team needs is an adult in the room: an owner willing to make the tough calls before problems linger too long and a floor raiser head coach (Flores, McDermott, Tomlin) to go with it. After this season, Shough will be 1/2 way through his rookie contract and while it is not midnight, we are past 11:40 pm.
What will never, ever get called is a “forward lateral” when a player is running full speed ahead. Watch where the ball leaves the hands and where it’s caught. That was a forward lateral.
I don’t understand college anymore. Are they now signing one-year contracts?
Breaking: Oregon State star freshman WR Jesse Legree has re-signed with the Beavers and will return to play there in 2027, he tells @PeteThamel.
Legree has been the country’s breakout freshman star for JaMarcus Shephard at Oregon State, as he leads the nation in receiving yards (1,040), touchdown catches (14) and receiving yards per game (148.6).
This is an absolute horseshit of a counter. The brothers should NOT accept this and take legal action if not given the opportunity to redeem their reward in the rightful manner. The Brewers may never return back to the WS in their lifetime.
Cowardice. Chickenshit.
Kids these days will never understand just how poetic both Chris Berman and Tom Jackson were every Sunday night during NFL Primetime. No egos, no personal grievances, no ambitions, it was just pure football knowledge that made you feel smarter when it was done.
The “worst”?
He was open. If he makes a decent throw then it’s a success.
All these overseas games were stupid to begin with, they are stupid now and they will be stupid years from now.
Saints executive Greg Bensel: “We concur with the NFL’s statement and are planning to play the game. In addition to working closely with the NFL, we have also maintained daily security updates with our security partners in France.
Members of our football operations staff and internal security team have been on the ground in France for the past few days and there has been no disruption or impact at any of our team sites.”
