Why does EtherFi need its own stablecoin?
Over $300M in stablecoins sits in the app. By launching its own stablecoin, EtherFi will start earning on it
How it works:
- USDT and USDC are backed by reserves that earn, mostly short US Treasuries
- hold them and that income goes to Tether or Circle
- issue your own and you get a cut
- nothing to build: @ethena runs the reserves, minting and redemption for @ether_fi USD
If all $300M sat in 3-month T-bills at today's 4.1%, that is about $12M a year, before Ethena takes its share

💯 I agree that @KASTxyz has been building a great product, evolving over time, and improving based on feedback.
- People said FX% was shit - now they are removing the fx completely, region by region.
- People wanted more localized integrations - they integrated PIX for Brazil, added AED Local bank payouts, etc etc
- Not even going to mention Cashback, Points Rewards, Equity Token coming up for the most loyal customers, Awesome VIP events with freeflowing drinks, concierge service, Visa Infinite benefits, cute PENGU cards, a Solana card that lights up on tap, and all the other fun things that other cards don't offer. They have a real community who love and support them - you can't replicate that so easily.
Team is doing a great job and anyone who's talking shit just don't know much about KAST.
