We often tell stories from the point of view of the hero. But heroes don't notice everything; examining a story from the point of view of the villain can be informative. Let's look at Harry Potter. 1/20

The Third Reich was also up 28-3.

Really impressive when you can predict heavy, moderate, and light flow, so you can correctly pad your schedule.

Heh. Longest time in one day? Boston to Raleigh, when for reasons, I had to drive the speed limit the whole way. 17 hours. Longest distance in one day? Sumter, SC to Boston: 900 miles, 13.5-15 hours depending on timing. I’d do the round trip to visit my GF on 3-day weekends. Longest solo drive? LA to Sumter, 2400 miles, 3 days. Recent contender was my trip Boston -> Buffalo -> Columbus -> NYC -> Boston. 1634 miles, 100 total hours … including 8 hours in Buffalo, 42 in Columbus, 4 in NYC, and two other hotel stays (7 hrs in Utica, 10 in WV)
My American friend in Tokyo asked how far I drive to see my parents. "Two hours," I said. "Oh nice. So they live close." Close?? In Japan, two hours is a trip. We stop at a rest area. We buy souvenirs. We text the family "we made it." Tokyo to Osaka is about 6 hours by car. Japanese people talk about that drive like it was the Oregon Trail. Then he casually mentioned he once drove 14 hours. For a wedding. And drove back the next day. So I need to hear this from more of you. What's the longest drive you've ever done in one go? From where to where? šŸš— (Texans: "Texas to Texas" counts.)

Need to know what a healthy ego looks like?
I almost said to @csoandy ā€œHey, it’s Thursday. Do you think we can watch the NFL game on our flight?ā€ 1. It’s Wednesday. 2. Thursday’s game is the one we are attending in Chicago and why we are at the airport in the first place. #longday

At this point, I think @united Clubs are just trolling me with food I *should* be able to eat, but they contaminate it.

Come out of the two-minute warning, and McDaniels caves to fantasy owners and hands the ball to RB1. And takes the FG to go up 10.
Patriots: down to 5 offensive lineman. Josh McDaniels: Let’s run it with our 3rd RB. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again. And now it’s the two minute warning.

One of the most entertaining things about going to football games is when you get to sit right in front of one of the wisest sideline coaches, who is happy to share their wisdom and knowledge of the game with everyone around them.

Love that the Patriots are having cancer(-free!) patients ring the bell at halftime. Coincidentally, the first bell ring? At 28 minutes to 3. A reminder we can always come from behind.

The Jets’ epic clock/timeout management in the last two minutes, with the Pats up 7-3 and driving, prevented the Pats from taking a 10-3 lead into the half, and having to settle for going into the locker room with a 17-3 lead.

My favorite thing about making chicken broth is turning trash into food: chicken bones, carrot peels, cucumber ends, parsley stalks. Add a bit of salt, water, and heat, and 12 hours later, voila! A gallon of broth.

I’d’ve preferred a Bills loss. But Sean McVay.
Here’s the silver lining, *if* the Bills hang on to win, Pats likely end up holding the tiebreaker if the both teams end the season tied. Why?: in a 17-game season, division opponents play 2 HTH games, 4 common division games, 8 common games, and 3 other (uncommon?) games. Division tiebreakers, if the Pats & Bills end up tied: 1. Head-to-head. This will either be a split, or Pats hold it. 2. Divisional games. We’ll have to see, but I expect both teams to sweep Jets/Fins. Or, given the Pats are already a game back, dropping one of these makes a standings tie even less likely. 3. Common games. Since the Pats have already lost 2 uncommon games (Jags/Seahawks), and the Bills would have already won two (Texans/Rams), for the Bills/Pats to tie, Pats will need to hold this tiebreaker.

Looks like Davante Adams just elevated over CJ Gardner-Johnson. Guess he can join the squad that gets practice doing that.

I think it was @ASchatzNFL who introduced me to the concept of Guts & Stomps: good team gut it out against good teams, eking out wins, and stomp bad teams, coasting to wins. Nice of the Patriots to demonstrate those in back to back weeks.
