📣 🚨 NEW 2026 Quick Reference Guides for *ALL 50 STATES* Are Now Available! 📣 🚨
We are thrilled to announce that as of this morning all 50 states and D.C. now have updated state-specific guides that provide #LawEnforcement with practical information and key penal provisions to help protect election workers, voters, and election infrastructure in this evolving threat environment.
We're proud to welcome @LAPDChiefMoore (ret.) as the newest Co-Chair of the Committee for Safe and Secure Elections.
Moore spent 40+ years in law enforcement, including as the 57th Chief of the @LAPDHQ. He's already driven CSSE's Tabletop Exercises and de-escalation trainings in several states. Now, he'll help lead that work into 2026.
Welcome, Chief Moore.

Election officials deserve to feel safe both on and off the job. Yet they increasingly face harassment, intimidation, and threats.
We created the Personal Security for Election Officials resource to work toward changing that reality.
Drawn from the firsthand experiences of officials who faced serious threats, the guide delivers practical, field-tested advice for securing three parts of your life: your home, your commute, and your online privacy and security.

We’re proud to announce that retired Lieutenant (Ret.) Ben Hess is the newest addition to CSSE and our Law Enforcement Members.
Ben brings over two decades of experience in public safety, investigations, and critical incident response. During his 16 years as a deputy sheriff at the @LarimerSheriff Office in Colorado, he served as SWAT Team Leader, Investigations Lieutenant, Internal Affairs, and Patrol Supervisor — roles that gave him a working command of both the operational and administrative sides of the profession.
Welcome, Lieutenant (Ret.) Hess! .

Some people slow down when they retire. @LAPDChiefMoore is not one of them.
Chief (Ret.) Moore served as the 57th Chief of Police for @LAPDHQ from 2018 until he stepped down in 2024, ending a career of service spanning more than 40 years. Since then, he has served as a senior advisor on matters related to law enforcement, civil engagement, and public safety for a variety of national organizations.
It’s for these reasons and more why we're proud to have him officially join the Committee for Safe and Secure Elections as one of our Law Enforcement Members. Welcome, Chief!

🚨 New Statement 🚨
The #LosAngeles County ballot drop box fire is a reminder that election security planning is not theoretical. It is an ongoing responsibility shared by election officials and #lawenforcement. As jurisdictions prepare for 2026, now is the time to review plans, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that procedures are in place to respond quickly when incidents occur.
