It was a rough week, but Bethany and I took a short break from it to see Chasing Abbey at Basement East on Thursday. I didn't know much about this band, but after seeing them, I'm a fan! It was great seeing an Irish band that was not afraid to get political. – at Nashville, TN

I was on the fence about trying country swing, but I was convinced to give it a try. Sadly, my experience with Country City Swing tonight guaranteed that it wasn't for me.

Isaiah, the person in charge of Country City Swing, contacted me to find out what happened. He apologized and made up for the situation, so I'm willing to say that this was just a mistake. I think it may have been an isolated incident.

I go west coast swing dancing on Monday nights. There's a woman who comes regularly that we call Mamma Janice. She turned 80 a few months ago, and she's still an incredible dancer. We danced tonight and had so much fun. I hope that I'm like Mamma Janice when I'm 80.
