Our team joined the Academy for Career Readiness at Norwalk Hospital to practice job interviewing with their young people. This program is co-funded by Dalio Education to help young people learn the skills they need to succeed in a healthcare career pathway. We were so impressed by the young people who excelled in their mock interviews and are now ready to pursue positions at the hospital!

What does it take to help young people build a stronger future, and how do we know what’s working?
In her TEDx Talk about positive outcomes for youth, Child Trends Senior Scholar and former President Kris Moore highlights findings from @ctopportunity grantee partner DomusKids’ evaluation of their program. While at Domus, 89% of young people reported feeling loved all or most of the time. Love is at the heart of Domus’s program and core to how they support young people to reconnect to education and the workforce.
At Dalio Education, we’re proud to support this partnership, connecting research and practice to better understand what young people need and strengthen the support they receive.
Watch below to learn more, and join us in celebrating Domus’s work!

Last week, we celebrated the 10 graduates of the Academy for Career Readiness at Northwell’s Norwalk Hospital. This program is the result of a partnership between Dalio Education, the hospital, the McChord Foundation, and @ctopportunity grantee partner Domus Kids. And together, they work to prepare young people for careers in the healthcare industry through workforce training and preparation, coaching, and hands-on experiences and learning in the hospital.
We are so excited to see what the future holds for each of these young people on their new career path.
