The Japan Times literally highlighted how it’s appearing in Backrooms edits and other viral meme formats. that’s what makes this interesting. the best memes aren’t manufactured by crypto. crypto finds something people are already obsessed with and financializes the attention. and right now the rabbit has: official JR East exposure a nationwide public vote Suica’s 25th anniversary behind it real Japanese meme momentum months of potential catalysts ahead the Suica brand itself is massive. The penguin has represented the system since 2001 and was used to build recognition around one of Japan’s most ubiquitous payment and transport products. so if the rabbit keeps becoming the internet favorite, this narrative has way more runway than a normal one-day meme. then look at the chart. initial expansion. big repricing. and instead of completely round-tripping, it’s sitting around ~$5.5m and consolidating. that’s what catches my attention. viral narrative + chart refusing to die. obviously this is still a tiny speculative token and the rabbit isn’t guaranteed to win the official vote. but honestly, it might not even need to. sometimes losing the corporate vote while winning the internet is an even stronger meme.
