My vascular surgeon had me set up to get a compression device through BioTAB, but the local rep dropped the ball completely. After months of waiting and getting nowhere, I finally just bought my own with my HSA so I could keep moving forward. 💪 My surgeon wants to do an MRI next to see if there is any other way he can go in to place the stents. If stents aren’t an option, I’ll be on blood thinners for life, but at least it will be the lowest dose. This recovery from the thrombectomy has been longer and harder than I expected. I still have fluid buildup in my left leg, which the sequential compression is supposed to help reduce. Some days are better than others, but I’m grateful to be alive, healing, and taking each step as it comes. ❤️‍🩹✨

Menopause sucks! I’m limited to what I can take due to being on blood thinners, but I have got to figure something out. Struggling with weight gain, which has never been a problem throughout my life, and the insomnia is insane. Men are lucky they don’t have to go through this!

I have a genetic disorder from being born six weeks premature that almost killed me last year. I’m also the 3% that suffers the rare but serious side effects of things. I learned in my life to listen to my body. Any time I didn’t listen to my body, bad things happened. I was called all kinds of names during COVID, and while it hurt at the time, I don’t care what anyone thinks of me.
