“Still working through it.”
He’d have no campaign without corporate funding 🤣🤣
Replying to @samueljrob
Rogers says he’s voting no on Prop 1. He says he’s “still working through it,” when asked whether he’s voting yes or no on Prop 2, which would ban certain companies in Michigan from political spending.

Less than 4 days to send Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate! Feeling anxious? Meet me at Contrast Coffee in Iron Mountain this weekend to knock doors. It's time to leave it all on the field!

My only birthday wish is for you to go vote and then text 42 people you know to remind them to vote as well.

BULLY-FREE ZONE. Today, we’re bringing votes and support. My birthday gift to you is my vote and I’m inviting Michigan to join me!
This ad actually went out to tens of thousands of Michigan households. I have not seen Haley Stevens condemn it.

capitalism has convinced people that being exhausted, overworked and constantly worried about money is just part of being an adult. that’s not living. that’s surviving a system that profits from your struggle.

I covered El Sayed in 2018. I was one of a handful of national reporters who did so.
After he lost the primary, he never said a single negative word about Gretchen Whitmer. He made no demands. All he did was go after the Republicans.

Fresh off a 13 hr shift, didn’t eat, didn’t change, but I did take my ass down to the polls to go vote!

My daughter works full time here in Texas. Let me run her numbers.
State minimum wage is $7.25. She's making $16.
Forty hours a week equals $640 weekly.
That’s roughly $2,700 a month before taxes.
Texas has no state income tax—the thing they sell you on. So after federal and FICA she takes home roughly $2,300.
Average one-bedroom in our city runs about $1,550.
That’s 67% of her entire paycheck gone to rent before she eats a single meal.
Leaves her around $750 a month for:
- groceries
- gas
- car insurance
- health insurance
- phone
- emergencies
- savings
Car insurance alone eats a huge chunk of that in this state.
She works 40 hours a week and cannot save a dollar. Not because she's careless because there's nothing left to be careless with.
I spent thirty years paying off a house here. She's doing the same job I did at her age and she can't afford a basic apartment.
That's not a discipline problem. That's not avocado toast.
The floor moved and nobody lowered the ceiling.
Working full time should cover a roof. In Texas it barely covers the rent on one.

I cast my ballot today!
Proud to support James Talarico for U.S. Senate, Gina Hinojosa for Governor, and our entire WilCo slate!
Williamson County Democrats are turning out in record numbers. Let's keep it going!
It's the LAST DAY of early voting. Polls close at 7. Go vote!

A Detroit mom got the surprise of a lifetime today 🚐
Keisha Fletcher went from an emergency shelter to renting her own place through the city's Homeless to Housed program. Today, the City of Detroit and TWINS Auto gave her a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan, free.
