CAP CRUNCH: @TooGoodToTank says those tax+apron concerns are overstated.
"OKC has a dream roster Ballmer would pay $8 billion to transfer to LA. They're not paying to crack open a championship window; it's already wide open. Take it from Sam Presti..." dailythunder.com/dynasties-a…
Per the Thunder: Jalen Williams underwent successful surgery to repair his fractured left fibula and reconstruct his ankle ligaments. He’ll be re-evaluated before the end of the regular season.
Thunder injury report for tonight at Dallas:
QUESTIONABLE: Ajay Mitchell (right ankle sprain)
OUT: Alex Caruso, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, Nikola Topić and Thomas Sorber.
Tip-off is 8:30 p.m. CT.
OKC’s about to play significant minutes without its top 4 perimeter defenders from last season
Cason Wallace
Alex Caruso (assuming here with that ankle turn)
Jalen Williams
Lu Dort

BREAKING: Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams has a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula; Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both will undergo surgery and be sidelined for several months -- most, if not the entire season.
Thunder players OUT tonight vs. Phoenix:
Chet Holmgren (right patellar tendinitis)
Jalen Williams (left lower leg injury)
Cason Wallace (left shoulder soreness)
Nikola Topić (low back surgery)
Thomas Sorber (right knee surgery)
Sam Presti held press conferences after Chet Holmgren's lisfranc injury in August 2022, and after Kevin Durant was removed from basketball activities indefinitely because of persistent foot problems in March 2015.
Thunder starts the season 3-0 after a 108-101 win over the Clippers. But the the result is far overshadowed by a serious leg injury suffered by Jalen Williams in the closing minutes.
This team is such a close-knit team, and Dub is a crucial part of the chemistry and character of this team. Seeing Jalen hurt, after finally being healthy, is just a gut punch. Not only because he's an elite player, but more importantly, because of who he is and what he means to the team, the fans, and the city.
Just unfair. Just devastating.
It’s gameday! ⚡ The Thunder host the Clippers tonight. If you’re not heading to Paycom, remember: tonight marks the first Thunder+ broadcast.

Shai’s 20+ point streak ends. The 82-0 dream lives.
JDub leads with 21, SGA adds 17, and Chet patrols the paint with 12 points, 17 boards and 4 blocks.

Thunder held the best two big men in the league to a combined 6-32 (Jokic 5-19 & Wemby 1-13) in the first two game of the season. Pretty damn impressive.
