A coal powered datacenter in the middle of downtown is exactly what we deserve
EXCLUSIVE:
"It was, perhaps, only a matter of time before the controversial industry seeking swaths of available land looked longingly at San Francisco’s shuttered downtown mall, one of the city’s most troubled pieces of real estate."

We priced a bunch of stuff to go up a bunch
Some data points said it went up less than the bunch we were expecting
So we go back to reprice a bunch of stuff

Think the neocloud bond yields are pretty damn attractive.
The equity risk boils down to: neocloud signs 15-20 year leases and PPAs and buys GPU (ie cost side is fixed). Then it signs customers for 3-5 years at a time. Right now it’s great because spot prices are healthy. For example I’m sure OpenAI is very happy with the 300B Oracle contract because it locked in GPU hours at a price lower than spot. But when contracts come up for renewal and spot prices collapse, the margins are each site collapses.
I’ve done some back of envelope math and it looks like the senior down to unsecured tranches of these bonds look pretty safe. Anyone else get to a diff answer?
The good news is you’ll know how real RPOs are mid 2027. They either convert to cash Bigly or they don’t.
The Tesla TsCS is hilarious
