Working on a project to help connect high school classroom educators to industry professionals in their city. The idea is to make connections between the curriculum and where related work is actually happening.
Built a fun "discover" feature to use at the start of class.
Grades don't actually display how much you know about something. You can get a 99% in a course and still not know anything about what you did. But having a project to demonstrate what you know, how you know, and what impact it has, demonstrates something called proof. #TasteofTKS
What is your school missing?
TKS is funding 5 student-led projects at high schools in Canada + the US. Up to $1,000 each.
Post your idea. Get your community to vote. The top 5 by Oct 31 get funded.

Ideas are cheap. Information is free. Taking the first step is still hard. Especially at 16.
Today we're launching the H.S. High Agency Fund: up to $1,000 for high school students in Canada and US to start something at their school.
A club, a hackathon, an event. You tell us.

"The common narrative is that kids learn faster than adults, but if you watch any toddler they spend a large portion of the day attempting things that are on the edge of their ability.
How much time have you spent on the edge of your ability today?"

Degrees say something about one's ability to play inside the box.
They say little about one's ability to create value in the world.
Prioritize portfolios over degrees.

Each of these companies in this thread offer so much more than what I shared. And I barely made a dent in the number of companies working in this space.
