🇲🇩 MAJOR: Moldova’s government digital services remain disrupted following a large-scale cyberattack. Authorities recorded approximately 11 MILLION access requests during an attack targeting personal data on October 22. A second intrusion attempt was blocked on October 25. Several government platforms remain offline, including systems handling permits and official authorisations. Moldovan authorities suspect the attacks could be part of a broader hybrid campaign. Attribution remains unconfirmed.

Any talks/negotiations about a post-war security arrangement for Europe need to start from the indisputable fact that Russia’s neighbours have an acute need of protection from Russia whereas Russia has no demonstrable need for protection (and it already has nukes for that).

I suspect that the lesson one can take from Vučić losing in Serbia, the Conservatives winning British Columbia and the total meltdown that is the Brazilian Presidential Election is… stop looking for a single lesson - politics doesn’t travel in straight lines.

The Trump administration has encouraged former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to run for UN Secretary-General, with Russia and China reportedly supportive of a joint candidacy. Orbán is reportedly interested but reluctant to run without confidence of winning. Trump and Vance are expected to support him, with a possible announcement after the U.S. midterm elections.
