Best anecdote in Carol Thatcher's book about her father is when Sir Denis boarded a train at Paddington in which the only empty compartment was reserved for Rosewood Psychiatric Hospital.
Denis travelled alone and in comfort as far as Reading when "all these chaps piled in", accompanied by a male nurse, who counted them before the train moved off.
'One, two, three, four ... who are you?"
"I'm the Prime Minister's husband."
"Six, seven, eight, nine..."

There was a chap at Oxford who came up in the 80s to research the 4 year tenure of a Yorkshire bishop. He spent 40 years on it, draining an inheritance left on condition it was spent on his education. Daily Mass (sometimes several times a day), lobster every day at Brown's next to the Oratory (hence the gout), magnificent dinner parties for miscreants, oddballs and grad students, and generous to charity. His fingers were so fat that his signet rings appeared stuck to them. Having spent every last penny, he was evicted from his apartment and became a monk some 3 years ago. No wife, no kids, and I don't think the DPhil ever got finished.
Top 5 most eccentric human beings I’ve met in my life. Bless him.
Charging the car in Hamilton en route to the bay of plenty to see White Island erupting.
An unstable, murderous place filled with chemical substances that authorities suggest avoiding, hamilt—

El video parece modificado con IA según análisis de inconsistencias en el vello facial durante movimientos e iluminación artificial. No hay confirmación independiente de un caso médico real.

He’s currently defending himself by claiming that he doesn’t need to know everything and that he’s still learning.
He’s been doing the job since 2018.
