Big shout out to the homie and artist extraordinaire @dapdesignz for the dope work she puts out into this world.
What has ya girl been up to? This April, I installed 9 handmade stamp stations across the Charlotte SHOUT! Arts Festival footprint in Uptown Charlotte. I also wrote an illustrated a children's book to go with it. In order to finish the story, you had to visit all 9 stations.

Ppl thought I left sneakers cuz my unboxings slowed down. Transparently, I buy a lot less at 43, but atp I have like 300 pairs. And re: leaving the industry, I sent my kid to college on sneaker money and just got off a long ass adidas contract. My shop: True to Size, is thriving. I don’t create much content these days, I hire the ppl who do.

What a privilege to be tired from the work you prayed for. What a privilege to feel overwhelmed by growth you used to dream about. What a privilege to be challenged by a life you created on purpose. What a privilege to outgrow things you used to settle for.
I once entered into a Hot Topic Rick and Morty t-shirt design contest and lost. I didn't even place 😂.
Few weeks later they reached out to see if I was interested in licensing the design. That was the first time I ever got royalties.
Went for a walk and saw a squirrel absolutely demolishing an apple. Of course I forgot my phone at home so I have no evidence of it, but I can doodle! 😂
A solid vision can take you so far. You just have to understand where you want to go first, that allows you to say no to the things that don't align.
I'm sure it had something to do with the contrast of clay and powder blue. Or the line that slices through. Her collapse in awe. The abyss of the court. Either way, I could not get this image of Coco Gauff winning the French Open out of my head. So we paint.
