Yesterday at @TheChainsmokers concert, I couldn’t stop thinking about two things: How many ways you could use AI at concerts, from everything happening behind the scenes to the lighting. Feels like a $700M business. I WANT to build a huge company so I can bring thousands of employees together and organize cool stuff. Imagine a company retreat with 10,000 people all having a great time… Thanks, @Cloudflare, for the invite. That was fun! Fun fact: they wouldn’t let me in with my bag, so I took my laptop out, left the bag hanging on a railing outside Oracle Park, and partied with my laptop the whole time 😂 After like five gin and tonics, I went back for my bag… and it was gone. Luckily, security had spotted it a few hours earlier and taken it, and I managed to convince them to give it back. Sometimes you need to take risks to really have fun ;)

In fact, both companies are about to go bankrupt.

Business is like the gym. It’s easy to finish your workout when you’re feeling good. But the real question is: do you still finish it when you’re not?

If you like talking to people, go into sales. If you like spending all day at your computer and in the terminal, become a software engineer. If you like being on social media and have an eye for design, go into marketing. But if you like doing a bit of everything… there’s only one option: become a founder.

Before hiring someone, ask yourself if you could get the job done with an agent

Go into debt if you have to, but move to Shenzhen 🇨🇳 You’ll see the best factories in the world. You’ll find the best services in the world. You’ll find a society that’s way better than what we have in the West. You’ll ship your hardware product 100 times faster. Just book a ticket!
