People going to war against ai is dumb and I’m tired of pretending it’s not.
Ai is a FUCKING TOOL. Use the tools at your disposal to best help you accomplish something however it should not be used to REPLACE people like developers and artists and coders.
AI is an amazing tool but at the end of the day that is what it is. A TOOL.
Hell I’m using Claude to create a whole as game as a personal passion project that 5 years ago I would have never even imagined was possible because I don’t have the time or energy or money to invest in trying to learn how to code or build models or make games. However I do have enough understanding of all of it to use AI as a tool to make something.
Ai is great for coding and optimization and it does a better job than veteran coders and does it faster. That’s not a jab at developers that’s just the truth. However Ai is useless if you don’t know how to utilize it properly. AI also is not very good at modeling and takes a lot of time and energy to make models depending on how you use it and I still believe talented 3d artist still very much reign supreme over AI and do it better.
Literally for me Ai took me 1 full week to go from literally a box character with no model or physics and now I’ve made a fully exploitable world with its own lore and mechanics and whatnot in a WEEK.
I’ll say it again: AI is a tool that should be used and we need to stop going to war against it.
Now when it comes to the topic of data centers and all that I have a very different opinion but when it comes to the general use of AI itself I’m generally pro AI or somewhere reasonable in the middle.
