The cheap green lie
You are told that solar and wind are cheap
But you need near-100% backup when no sun or wind, paying for two systems
Data for 2025 shows that
cramming in more solar and wind makes electricity overall more and more costly

This. The fighting between the nazis and the socialists was left wing collectivist infighting not the “far right vs the left”.
Replying to @ChuckieFFS
You absolute midwit. Congrats on repeating the Wikipedia "Nazis were far-right, end of story" summary you absorbed between TikToks.
Yes, the Nazis crushed independent unions, jailed and murdered communists and social democrats, and Hitler liquidated the Strasserite "left" wing of his own party in the Night of the Long Knives. That part is not in dispute. They were not Marxist class-struggle socialists. They hated Bolshevism as a Jewish plot and treated international socialism as the main enemy. Fine.
What your middle-school history class skipped is that they still ran a National *Socialist* state: private property existed only as long as it served the Führer’s racial and war goals, wages and prices were controlled, industry was cartelized under state direction, profit was subordinated to the party, and the economy was planned for autarky and rearmament. That is not free-market capitalism, liberal conservatism, or classical right-wing economics. It is the same family of state-directed, anti-liberal, collectivist economics practiced by every other fascist and "national socialist" regime. The name was not a prank; the 25-point program and the early rhetoric were full of anti-capitalist planks precisely because they were competing with the actual socialists for working-class support.
Your North Korea comparison is the usual gotcha and it is only half-clever. Yes, names can lie. But the NSDAP did not merely call itself socialist while secretly running a Rothschild hedge fund. They nationalized, directed, rationed, and regimented. The difference from Soviet socialism was mainly that the Nazis kept the owners as managers under party orders instead of shooting them all and installing commissars. Both systems produced shortages, secret police, and mass graves; one just had better uniforms and Wagner.
Elon pointing out the obvious—that "National Socialist" is not an ironic branding exercise and that the regime was economically left of any classical liberal or conservative—does not make him a moron. It makes him less obedient to the post-1945 academic consensus that insists every totalitarian who isn’t a full Marxist must be filed under "far-right" so the left never has to share the body count. Money didn’t buy him a brain; it just bought him a platform where he doesn’t have to pretend your selective reading of 1930s Germany is the complete picture.
Keep yelling "far-right fascists" while ignoring the actual economic policies and the party’s own name. It is the historical equivalent of covering your ears and shouting.

Recessions are supposed to hurt. That pain is the cure, not the disease.
When credit expands beyond real savings, the central bank manufactures a boom that cannot last. Businesses build factories for demand that borrowed money fabricated. Workers take jobs that only exist because interest rates sat artificially low. When the correction arrives, those malinvestments need to liquidate. Wages fall in some sectors, capital shifts, weaker firms close. Painful, yes. Fatal, no.
The depression arrives when government refuses to let the correction finish its work.
Herbert Hoover did this with textbook precision between 1929 and 1932. He signed Smoot-Hawley, raised the top income tax rate from 25% to 63%, pushed wages above market-clearing levels through industry agreements, and expanded federal spending by 50%. Every intervention delayed liquidation. Franklin Roosevelt then deepened and extended those same policies for a decade, keeping unemployment above 14% through 1940 when the private economy, left alone, would have recovered years earlier.
Governments prop up insolvent banks, subsidize failing industries, and inflate prices to prevent the nominal wage adjustments that would restore employment. Each intervention signals investors to wait. Capital sits idle because the rules keep changing. The recovery never gets traction because the government keeps moving the floor.

I had to make sure she did not have a neurological disorder that could account for the slurred speech and insane rambling.
She doesn’t.
And even if she did have a diagnosed neurological disorder, “we have guns too!” after talking about firing all Republicans would ordinarily be disqualifying.

NASA was keto before keto was cool
NASA's first job, before it put a man in space, was to find the meal that leaves the least behind. The answer was steak and eggs, and it has been the launch breakfast for 65 years.
The problem was the suit. A Mercury astronaut was sealed into a pressure suit, bolted into a capsule the size of a phone box, and left on top of a rocket for hours. He could not take anything off. There was no toilet, and no plan for one.
So in July 1960 the Air Force handed the question to a nutritionist called Beatrice Finkelstein. She had to feed the man so he stayed strong, clear-headed and full, for as long as it took, on the least possible waste.
She wrote a menu for the last 3 to 4 days before flight. High protein, low residue. Meat, eggs, very little else. Residue is the polite word for whatever the body cannot use and has to send back out. On her figures, beef and eggs produced almost none. The body took nearly all of it.
On the morning of 5 May 1961, Alan Shepard sat down to steak and eggs, went out to the pad, and became the first American in space.
It worked so well that nobody dared change it. John Glenn ate it. The crew of Apollo 11 ate it on the morning they left for the Moon. Shuttle crews ate it. Astronauts are superstitious, and this is the one ritual with a medical file behind it.
Look at what that file says. The best funded engineers on earth needed a food that was nearly all nutrition and next to no waste, to fuel a man through the most demanding day of his life, and they did not pick porridge.
Down here the same breakfast comes with a warning, and we are advised to swap it for the bran.
NASA ran the test in 1960. The bran is the residue.
