@datumnite asking the tough questions tonight at the @ClickHouseDB builders night
I’m speaking at the @ClickHouseDB AI Builders and Databases meetup in London tomorrow!
I'll talk about where AI fits into analytics right now and where we at @lightdash_devs think it's headed.
👉 Request a spot here: luma.com/clickh-ykgp
We recently launched Autopilot: an agent that maintains your data projects for you. @joaovianacodes put together a short demo showing how it works. Try it out in @lightdash_devs and let me know what you think!
I spent last week building with Claude Dashboards and they're good.
Claude can use any MCP server as the data source, and if that MCP server can write content, you can push everything you build back. I wrote up the full walkthrough
👉 Read it here: lightdash.com/blogpost/how-t…
Claude launched its newest artifact last week - dashboards! We've been testing them out at @lightdash_devs and they're pretty great.
@datumnite wrote up a short blog on how to use them: lightdash.com/blogpost/how-t…
Claude Dashboards are here and (oh baby!) two things really standout:
1. It has lineage from every chart back to its source query
2. You can bi-directionally sync between Claude + Lightdash
This new dev loop feels really good!
why is there so much unwillingness to put effort into microcopy (both product + marketing). there are so many awesome ideas coming to life but they’re let down by slop copy.
cloud coding envs are so obviously the future for agentic coding. i think people prefer mac mini, localhost, hetzner because of the initial convenience but it is long term worse
thinking about when i laughed at all the humanities graduates because "only physical science students would build lasting careers for life"

Time to say goodbye to manual dashboard maintenance 👋
Say hello to Autopilot: an agent that maintains your Lightdash project for you 24/7.
engineers: the future 3 roles for engineers
pms: the future 3 roles for pms
analysts: the future 3 roles for analysts
designers: the future 3 roles for designers
does anybody know what's going on?
if AGI means we now get 3 types of PM - i don't want it
CPO of Ramp @geoffintech: I see 3 paths for product managers long-term:
1. The technical PM
2. The tastemaker PM
3. The GM
it feels like a new wave of data science / stats is coming with Jev and Kumo Tabular as examples of building blocks that can be used to assemble task-specific, interpretable, decision making
anecdotally: our ai support agent really LOVES when it receives ai-authored support requests "wow this is exceptionally precise"
frontier coding agents rn: like your most trusted engineer who can own a feature end to end but just won’t ever make leadership because they don’t “get it”
remember when chatgpt could write poems like pirates? now i can’t even trust a frontier model to write a readable docstring
grok just mogged cowork: i asked cowork to update the design of my google slides and it opened grok’s slides extension and prompted grok to do it

You can now describe any chart type you want, and an agent will build it for you in Lightdash Chart Studio.
