Ten years since these disturbing scenes at Halesowen. By the letter of the law, that’s probably a red card offence…

I know this isn’t very supportive of me as a supporter, but I can’t shake the sense that it’s embarrassing to our great history at this standard that this is the team the owners have equipped a manager with. It’s probably in fact an insult to our tradition in this competition.

Rescued East African slaves taken from a dhow aboard HMS Racoon – a British naval ship used to prevent the transportation of enslaved people. They were freed from Arab slave traders between November 1st and 4th of 1868.

The PM isn't a liar. There was prolonged Russian interference in the Brexit referendum. That is not the same as saying it changed the outcome. It is however the case that Russia did try to interfere and influence.

The Man City scandal has taken a massive chunk out of the credibility of the Premier League. What’s the point of watching it anymore?

Obviously corrupt Russian oligarch should never have been allowed free rein in the UK, nor allowed to corrupt football with his dodgy billions through Chelski. But he was and he did. theguardian.com/world/2026/o…

Biggest problem with the Badenoch speech is there was no offer to any other party. It’s highly unlikely the tories will win outright yet the agenda she outlined as an anathema to Lib Dems and closed the door on working with Reform. It was a speech that guaranteed opposition

One of the greatest players I've ever had the privilege to see. In a day and age where prices are bandied around like confetti I honestly don't think you could put a price on what his capabilities were. Now, you get one type of midfielder who sits on one position, passes it 10 yards max and it worth £100m. Then you get another type of midfielder who adds average attacking thrust. Another £100m Then, you have captains who don't open their fucking mouths for 90 minutes, called" leaders ". Another £100m He was a team's best defender, best holding midfielder, best leader, best attacking midfielder and most important match winner. Priceless. Truly priceless.
45 years ago today, Bryan Robson signed for United A defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder, he could head, tackle, score goals, the most complete footballer I’ve ever seen and he carried the team and a whole generation of fans along with him

Paul Ince reveals Roy Keane tried to get the line “we’ll maintain the status quo, we’re Man Utd here we go” cut from the club’s 1994 cup final song ‘Come On You Reds’. “He strongly felt we should not be limiting ourselves to just maintaining the status quo,” Ince told reporters
