Despite the usual suspects & war cheerleaders like VDH and Thiessen dishonestly blaming diplomacy, the MoU, and @JDVance's efforts to end the war as the cause for GOP's midterm evisceration, the White House's own internal polling told the real story:
"the Democratic advantage had ballooned during active hostilites, shrunk during talks over the MoU, and then spiked again when the Cease-fire collapsed."

Voters don’t care about removing Maduro, or moving the embassy to Jerusalem, or killing the Ayatollah, or the Abraham Accords, arming Ukraine, or regime change in Cuba. None of these actions improve their lives.
For some reason, Republicans think these types of actions will be rewarded at the ballot box. Not only is that of course not true, but sometimes, as in the case of these midterms, these issues can cost you an election.
Some voters correctly believed these foreign policy decisions hurt them, or at the very least came at the expense of things the administration could have done to improve lives here at home.
The voters showed that on Tuesday. Venezuelan voters and Jewish voters proved it, as they came out heavy for Democrats.
The only people who truly care enough about these things to cite them as achievements are the media and political elites in New York and Washington.
You’d be hard pressed to find many Republican voters who would say, “you know what? I’m voting Republican because Trump removed Maduro and attacked Iran”.

The March 2, 1940, issue of Argosy included my story "All at Once, No Alice." A newlywed finds his bride missing from a hotel room -- as well as from the register, and the justice of the peace claims they were never married. The man races against time to locate and save Alice!
I called my auto insurance company after someone hit my parked car in a grocery store lot and drove off.
The rep asked for my details and checked my policy.
He told me my claim was approved, but since the hit and run driver wasn't identified, it fell under my comprehensive coverage with a $2,500 deductible.
The repair estimate was $2,700.
I asked him if that meant after paying $210 a month for six years without a single accident, insurance was covering a grand total of $200 for a hit and run I didn't cause.
He said yes, but reminded me that my rates might still increase next term because a claim was opened on my account.
I asked him why I was paying over $2,500 a year for coverage that penalizes me for using it to claim a $200 benefit.
He stayed quiet for three seconds and said, "That's just how the policy tier is structured."

Adam Driver has confirmed he'll play Otis Wardell, the main antagonist in Michael Mann's upcoming Heat 2. Wardell is a vicious criminal who leads a gang carrying out brutal home invasions in 1980s Chicago, with some disturbing parallels to real Chicago criminals.
Without spoiling anything, Wardell represents a heightened, almost theatrical exaggeration of the type of criminal that existed in Chicago at the time.
Chuck Adamson, the former Chicago detective on whom Al Pacino's character Vincent Hanna was based, spent part of his career investigating the same kinds of violent home invasion crews that Wardell leads in the novel.
In 1962, Adamson's unit apprehended a gang who had reportedly terrorized the occupants of approximately 200 homes, using torture to extract valuables.
Mann, who was in Chicago at the time, recalled hearing the police shootout that led to their capture. The case subsequently influenced his work, including the Miami Vice episode "The Home Invaders" (1985), written by Adamson and directed by Abel Ferrara. The episode bears a striking resemblance to Wardell's criminal activities in Heat 2.
There are also similarities between Wardell and a Chicago criminal named Frank Hohimer, a professional burglar known to break into wealthy people's homes. His criminal activities eventually earned him a place on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in 1969.
In his 1975 memoir, The Home Invaders: Confessions of a Cat Burglar, Hohimer described cutting telephone lines before entering homes and shining powerful flashlights into sleeping occupants' eyes to blind and disorient them. He was even reported to have threatened victims with a propane blowtorch.
Mann originally considered adapting Hohimer's memoir for Thief, but eventually abandoned the approach, describing Hohimer as "kind of creepy." Chuck Adamson, who had personally arrested Hohimer, served as a technical adviser on the film.
Hohimer was also linked to one of Chicago's most notorious unsolved murders.
On September 18, 1966, 21 year old Valerie Percy, the daughter of Republican Senate candidate Charles Percy, was brutally beaten and stabbed to death in her family's Kenilworth mansion.
When her stepmother entered the bedroom after hearing disturbing noises, she encountered the attacker standing over Valerie. He shone a flashlight directly into her eyes before fleeing. Nothing was stolen.
The investigation eventually focused attention on Hohimer and his criminal associate Frederick Malchow, although the murder remains unsolved.
I wouldn't be surprised if Adam Driver has already begun researching these cases in preparation for Heat 2.

What's the difference between working from office and working from home?
At office, your jerk of a boss demands you work your tuchus off for your pay.
At home, your jerk of a cat demands you stop work to scratch her 16 chins and serve a fifth lunch.
Ida, Iva, and Eva Hanna were identical triplet sisters born in Boonton, New Jersey. In the early 1900s, the survival of identical triplets was incredibly rare, making them an instant public marvel.
They entered show business at just 10 months old. They grew up to become talented vaudeville dancers, singers, and saxophone players. They traveled and performed with the Ringling Brothers circus and the A.B. Marcus Musical Comedy Company.
The trio retired from show business at age 20 to get married.
